Lines out of camp 3 with assumed IRs
Trashed is the plan for another year or two.
Hertl and Cooch are staying unless they ask to leave like Burns and EK65 did. Big money and long term to move.
Barabanov problably stays and extended unless they get a 2nd at TDL.
Duclair, Grandlund, Rutta & Hoffman are TDL moves.
Zadina is a question mark on keeping, trading or just letting him go after the season.
Vlasic wont be bought out until after next year if ever. They don't need the cap savings yet and probably don't want the cap hit in 3-4 years buying him out.
This is needed and if our young guys turn into expected players they have a good future starting in 25/26. They have some decent assets in house.
Eklund, Bystedt, Smith, Musty, Havelid, Muk, Thrun, Nikita, Larouke and a lot of bottom 6 guys to go along with a top 4 (Sharks), approx. 13th-18th (Pens) and 29th+ (Devils) first round picks this year along with the TDL picks. They are moving in the right direction and shed a lot cap of the books compared to where they were just 1-year ago. Should have started 2-years ago and moved Hertl at TDL.

lines coming out of camp
I agree with Knyshov I really like the guy and think he has a future in the league. He might be road blocked though with the Sharks. Maybe he has a good camp and him and Thrun are the 6-7 D with MacD starting with the Cuda. I just kept coming back to the PP and MacD.
If Thruns plays well and has shown signs of emprovment he gets the nod because hes a GMMG guy and may have a hand shake agreement for playing time when signed. This is Thruns contract year so I think he gets every opp available which means Knyshov could be out/down.
My biggest fear is that they are better than last year. Not much but get a pick from 5-9 instead of 1-4. The D will be better on D. Of course worse on O and they have better forwards overall. If they are better hopefully that means TDL moves with good returns.

Never thought of MacD on line 4. Smith is a GMMG guy.
Labanc days are over IMO.
As for top pick, I agree and would be best. We need at least another top 4 pick. Our prospects have some promise but we are 3-years out at minimum so keep building and drafting. Shark fans need patience. I can remember what the Avs went through and now look at them. Hoping for the same.
How are the AVs shaping up this year? Such a bummer for Landeskog! Love that guy.

I think following are sent down/waived:
1. Simek
2. Linblom
3. Knyshov
Labanc needs to beat out Kunin or Hoffman or Smith or Peterson and probably will not.
Smith starts do to his size and speed. Peterson is more of line 3 guy than 4th liner but will spell Kunin as they ease him back from the knee.
On D tough between McDonald who is the only PP D they have over Thrun but Thrun gets the start until they go 0 for 25 on PP.
Tough season coming.

San Jose Sharks 2022-2023 Realistic In-Depth Look
What if Bordelaue makes the team out of camp, 3C? He's playing very well in the Junior Worlds and I can see him pushing for a spot.
3rd - Lindlom/Bords/kunin
4th - Gregor/Sturm/Bonino
Maybe move Kunin to 2, Labacnc to 3 if Labanc stumbles or the 2nd line gets pushed around.
Agree with evelution this year can go either way.
I do belive we will be better on D with Burns...just for the sake of 20% less icing on the hero passes. MEV is a big ? on the 2nd but not a lotta choice and worse case better draft odds.

And wouldn’t we have Norris at 2C/3C without the Karlson trade as well?

ACQUIRE Pesce Khudobin SIGN Danault Armia Demers SHIP Burns Seattle BUYOUT Jones
I hope something works out but I don't see any of it.
It's time for the sharks to pay the tax for their cup runs. Seattle taking Burns is doughtful unles we give up assets that we need like picks and youth. Face it this team is what it is for the next few years. Nobody anytime soon is going take our big contracts. Yes, if we had a top 6 forward, 3C and an above ave. goaly we could push for a playoff spot but with Vegas, Colorado, probably Seattle and even Edmonton and Calgary we aren't winning the west and/or a cup.
Sorry but IMO it's tax season for our beloved Sharks. I so hope I'm wrong and DW works some magic but at some point we have to pay the tax.

Only 3 right hand forwards
Too bad we couldn't trade Burns for Coyle. That would be fitting.
If they stay healthy, get production from Leonard and Blichfeld, Labanc earns his new contract, Donato works out on the second line and the goalies play to average we can get eliminated in the first round.

Anybody that's right handed and can play 3C and PK IMO.

SJ Sharks TJ1 & JT2
Don't want to lose Tierney I think he is good 3-4 center when he has some level of talent on his line. They could go with a different cheaper 4C and still be good I surprizingly really liked EF as 4C. I all so believe if this was reality we would lose Pavs next year. I have faith in DW and I realize we have to pay more in $ and/or term with our taxes but this is still very much competitive team with a good core.
