IF Nylander can be a top 6 center, this is a no-brainer! If he is a wing, it’s an overpay…even with the cost certainty he comes with.

Division predictions
Decent overall, I'd swap the Flames and Canucks though, Flames have improved significantly imo by bolstering their D and especially in net, and Canucks have taken a step back (Schmidt is better than Tanev but they lost Toffoli and Leivo which hurts fheir forward depth and replaced Markstrom with Holtby, who I don't think will be great if the Canucks continue to give up a ton of shots). I also think the Habs are a little high but idk how to rank 4-7 in that division because Florida got worse and while Buffalo got better up front, their defensive flaws are still staggering and Dahlin can't play 60 minutes a night, so it could turn out like that, with all of them ultimately missing the dance. I do think the Metro takes both wildcards (Pens missing is certainly a hot take but one I can respect, it'll be a tough fight with the Jackets for that 2nd wildcard).

I would say you either find another team to take it or you add it to the deal for free. No reason for the hawks to pay a pick to TOR to take Kerfoot or Holl in order to keep TOR cap compliant when the hawks don't want those players anyways

I think NSH sees Sissons' contract as an asset - not an albatross. They did the same thing with Jarnkrok. Sign a middle of the roster guy you like for long term, and the contract becomes more of a bargain with each passing year. I can't see NSH considering this. Liljegren would be a nice addition, but Fabbro is further along in his development and has a higher ceiling. Kerfoot is a downgrade on Sissons, and Sissons' ability to also play wing is a plus, as NSH has too many centers right now.

TOR Offfseason Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>Ummm, Couturier, Hayes, Laughton, Patrick, Frost, and even Giroux play centre in Philly. (with Bunnamon, Rubtosov and Vorobyev (and trade deadline Thompson) all getting 4th line center this year). Not to mention half a dozen other center prospects in the system or arriving next year.
Philly doesn't need centre depth, especially next season.
Kerfoot is almost a one way player and Dermott has underachieved, which is why they've been chosen for this trade.
Myers as a RH dman, with Braun leaving, is worth more to Philly than that deal, (especially when half of leaf fans see Dermott as a weak link, and they're both similar re-sign salary RFAs). Obviously with Lindblom and Patrick injuries, Philly would need a wing if anything and Kapanen straight up is probably equal value based on need and position.
Also, many Leaf fans have said that Dermott can not play RD, and Philly currently has Provorov, Sanheim, Gostisbehere, Hagg (and injured Morin) at LD, so they would need a RD, not a LD Dermott. Philly overpaid to get RH dmen in Braun (UFA) and Niskanen, so cant see them giving up Myers for a LD and a one-way center they don't need.
But I think your premise of Philly needing center depth in 20-21 is a false premise to start with.</div></div>
If Kerfoot is almost a 1 way player it would be defensive over offensive but hey, saying anything factual on here isn't important

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DocArin0</b></div><div>Iv been generally interested do NYR fans feel pressured to trade Georgeiv or is it more of Media generated?</div></div>
Honestly depends on who you ask. There's a crowd that wants Lundqvist to either be traded, bought out or to retire, and then there's the people who want Georgiev traded. Nobody likes the 3 goalie system, and I'd bet it won't be a thing next season, it'll be Shesterkin as the #1 and either Hank/Georgie backing him up. It doesn't help the situation when the media also writes about it every day.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>I am going to directly quote you, because you are being completely hypocritical. "if you want a Top 4 RHD with contract control you need to pay for it." Travis Dermott is as much of a "top-4" as Brandon Montour, yet look at what the Leafs are giving up to Buffalo, but receiving from Colorado.
If you want to have fun on these AGMs and just throw nonsense out there, that's perfectly fine, but don't try to seem "realistic" when your deals are in themselves a contradiction of one another.</div></div>
It's the usual TOR tax - TOR players aren't really good players or prospects but every losing teams players are incredibly valuable

It wasn't MB who claimed to be in town to visit his daughter.
As per Ryan S. Clark's tweet, of the Athletic,
"GM Joe Sakic addressed the media before the game. He was asked about Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin being her for two games in a row.
He said, "Marc's daughter goes to CU" and just left at that with a grin."

Sounds like Bergevin likes that style of defenseman. Also might help Romanov feel more comfortable next year.
That's not to say I think Price is Colorado's target. Just trying to think of who Montreal is scouting. If Bergevin is visiting his daughter (as some suggest), I find it weird he brings Mellanby along too, haha.

Leaf Fans overreacting but
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>Leafs and Edmonton could help one another out, but as I've said over and over again, it takes something to get something. Leafs would be dead-set on Nurse plus Bouchard. So what would that take from Toronto? My guess is Kapanan and Dermott. It wouldn't be a 2-for-2 deal, but it would be more of a hockey deal then some of other stuff floating around these AGMs. And for all your Leafs fans, Nurse has played his off-side before.</div></div>
Not even close. Nurse + Bouchard is going to cost you one of the big-name players (Matthews, Marner, Nylander) with Toronto retaining a significant portion of their salary and a 1st round pick. Even then, I don't think Holland bites until some of the other defense prospects develop to the points where they're ready to step in.
