As a Wild fan, I'd agree that's pretty slanted in Minnesota's favor. But I'd hate to give Duhaime up, he's kinda a younger Foligno. Or at least on that type of trajectory anyway.
But for Sharangovich? I think it's safe to say he's available. But the Wild definitely add there. What that is, I don't know. I just know I'd rather move Greenway though.

The devils don't need 50% retention in this case as you can see they would have 3.3. million in cap space after these moves

I mean, the value is fine with Walsh, but he's not really a fit for what they need.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DonCherrysOnlyGoodSuit</b></div><div>That’s fair. I agree Zacha is much better on the wing, I was just trying to keep the Kuokkanen - Hughes - Sharangovich line together. And I guess I’m pretty high on Bahl hoping he is an NHL regular next season who can handle top 4 minutes.</div></div>
I can see where you're coming from with keeping that line together but I would rather get some consistency on Hischier's line with Zacha/Bratt (after the season he dealt with) and then give Jack the shiny new toy. It is also a lot to ask of Bahl to play a full season as a top 4 dman in the NHL. Walsh probably isn't ready to handle a full season in the NHL either but if NJ can grab someone like Martinez and Larsson to fill the top 4 then I could see the team taking a step towards being competitive.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DonCherrysOnlyGoodSuit</b></div><div>Reinhart is an RFA and if NJD can grab him, they can afford him for a longer term deal. I still see Carrick as a serviceable depth piece, but I agree that he definitely had his questionable moments last year.
I can see arguments against Oleksiak, but with a rebuilding team, I wouldn’t want to see NJD give up too much in the trade market. I feel like Big Rig is a low risk signing and you know what you’re getting.</div></div>
I'd hope for another Ryan Murray type deal for d-man
And Reinhart can sign a QO and get straight to UFA.

Rossi is the dream for us. I don't think he falls to 9 but I can't really argue with any of the picks you made ahead of the Wild in the 4-8 range, they all seem reasonable. I think Sanderson is going to go a lot higher than people are expecting (like you have here), he looks like a near carbon copy of Ryan Suter to me but a little more physical and a little worse at stretch passing.

Some tough choices for some teams but I can see some of these. I think the Kings take Stutzle instead of Byfield. I think he’s more ready than Byfield, played against grown men last year.

Toronto Blockbuster
I don't like as a Leaf. Leafs would only trade Marner to get cap space to fill multiple holes. Marner is a UFA in five years. Klingberg 2 years and Radulov 2 years. Radulov will be 34 when the season starts and may be hitting the wall. So I don't think the trade is good one ice value for the Leafs. I'm a supporter of Liljegren and believe he will be long time NHLer.

I do think he will make the jump. I’m hoping he slides into the 3rd pair next to Demelo, who I feel could be a great fit to introduce Ty to the league

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Malloy</b></div><div>I agree Butcher should get a bigger role. I think he slides into the 2nd pair ideally this year, or at least should get a look there. I could see them going after Dillon just skeptical of the deal he’ll get and if you look at his player-type aging curve falls off around this time.
I’m not sure they would give up the assets to get the first three either, but that’s who I’d be hopeful for.</div></div>
I would overpay Dillon on AAV to keep the term down. Maybe something like 4.5 x 3. I think that's fine for his age 30, 31, 32 years.
I think Johnson and Andersson would be solid buy low candidates for NJ. Both are worth a 2nd rd pick at best. I think anderson would be a good fit on Hughes wing.

Draft 2020
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DonCherrysOnlyGoodSuit</b></div><div>As a NJ fan, Holtz and Drysdale already gone at 6, I go Rossi and Sanderson at 10.
I personally love Sanderson’s game. Great skater, on one one skill, long reach, sees the ice really well, good build for only being 17, and not afraid to get physical. I definitely see him being a 2 or 3 Dman down the road.</div></div>
As this draft scenario plays out , I’d still take Raymond at #6. Need a skilled winger for Jack Hughes especially if Drysdale is gone by then. And JD will go in the top 5 for sure.
I like Jake Sanderson with their #10 pick. That’s a steal IMO. If the season had not been canceled and he got more viewings at U-18’s and the combine then JS might have even been rated higher. NHL bloodlines helps a lot.

Devils 20-21 Roster prediction
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DonCherrysOnlyGoodSuit</b></div><div>I agree that NJ fans want to get the most out of assets while their value is as high as it can get (Wood about 2 months ago and Palms), and a 2nd round pick is a bit of wishful thinking. As a fellow Devils fan I wonder what you would think of my hypothetical here: <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1690196">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1690196</a>
Palms seems like a solid locker room/on ice guy. Trading him at the deadline for assets seems like a great idea while his value is high, but he is a leader for a young Devils team. Keeping him, and possibly resigning him, only benefits the progression of younger players.
I would hope the front office pays (or overpays) D men with certain D men capable of playing top 4 minutes to make up for PK’s turnover friendly game and/or bottom 4 pairing guys to let Smith and Butch develop their offensive side while sheltering their minutes.
Khudobin is a nice signing, but maybe a bit too much money for a back up if they really believe in Big Mac as a starter.
But I’m glad we both agree on NOT resigning Mueller.</div></div>
yeah man yours is good, I would love to see us get Holtz in the draft. not sure on Dell as the Sharks had some of the worst goaltending in the league last year. A little too much youth in your bottom 6, they would have some difficulties I would imagine. Holtz probably needs another year or 2 in the SHL before coming over as well. Our blue line is horrendous but I don't think one FA is fixing it unfortunately, signing bigger name FA's seems a bit aimless. My thinking on Khudobin is that he had real good numbers last year and Devils likely have to overpay on all free agents right now, not the most attractive franchise to play for currently. I think what you're hoping for in 20-21 is some good growth out of Nico + Hughes + Smith + Bratt, being a touch more competitive with a real backup and yes definitely no more Mueller hahaha.

Still suck but more competitive
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DonCherrysOnlyGoodSuit</b></div><div>If I’m the Devils and I’m spending ~$18mil like proposed here, I’m definitely looking at a top 6 RW over a bottom pairing D man, 4th line C, and back up goalie. It’s a nice idea to spread cash around the line up to round out positions, but I wouldn’t mind them going after a guy like Mikael Granlund.
He’s not going to light up the score board every night, but I think he would help. He’s 28 and having a bit of an off year which should make him a bit cheaper, but overall he is still a reliable playmaker.
I agree with Brendan Dillon though, and I would like to see what an offer sheet would look like for Josh Anderson. A lot of sandpaper to his game for a NJ team that has none.</div></div>
I like Granlund a lot. He's struggled the last season and a half, which could make him a buy-low candidate. I agree that a RW who can score needs to be the team's #1 priority this offseason.

Personally I think he's a bust but other Jets fans are still pretty high on him, regardless I'd never trade him for a rental, I'd use him as a sweetener to get an RFA or a guy with a good amount of term left.
Who knows with Chevy though, he's been ****ing up for awhile now so maybe he'll do something stupid and give him away.
