He's a solid top 4 LD. Pretty versatile. Putting yes as he has always been good analytically speaking and then with his gritty celly, he deserves the extra.

All these bad contracts end soon. Number 9 could be a big deal. Losing garland sucks but benning is stuck with OEL for many years. Arguably the worst contract in the league off of Arizona’s books. Big win by Armstrong.

New York Islanders signed Bo Horvat (8 Years / $8,500,000 AAV)
So here is my thing.
For years now, us Islander fans have been complaining that Barzal needs a linemate who matches his style level and playing style, but more importantly someone who scores goals. Eberle was a temporary solution, as he was older, and a bit closer. And the second that Lou goes out and gets a player, after all these years of complaining, everyone is now complaining about the trade. I find it so hypocritical that our fanbase does this. Everyone has to find the negative in everything. I think that it was a good trade, so long as Lou extending Horvat, which he planned on doing. Sure, I would have rather not given up Raty, but it is what it is. Everyone complained we gave too much for Horvat and that we were not going to extend him. Lou extends him, and everyone complains. It's probably the most hypocritical thing ever. I agree that Lou has made some really stupid moves, but come on man. He goes out and gets the player who is 8th in goals, and y'all just complain. I don't get it. Make up your mind.
This was a good signing, and a good trade too. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, we either make the playoffs or fall apart and get the pick for this year. I would also like if Lou traded Pageau and Bailey, but that's just me.

It's the very basics of getting a second chance.</div></div>
But he did apologize, he did cultural sensitivity training, he did counseling, he did volunteer with disabled groups.
And yet, people want him permanently banned from hockey.
For something he did when he was 14-years old.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KSIxSKULLS</b></div><div>He did do it when he was 11 & 8, & 9 & 10 & 12 &13. He doesn't deserve a 2nd chance after showing 0 remorse for it until it only benefit him, and then he did it in a half assed way</div></div>
Again, "not remorseful enough", is a scary open-ended charge.
1. Person does bad thing
2. Person gets punishment for bad thing.
3. Person completes punishment for bad thing.
...is how our system is set up.
Adding a layer for the judgement of of one character is totally against our system. And in this case, its not even his current character than is being judged, its his character in the period after he was caught. (We have seen it doesn't matter what he does now). It becomes a slippery slope...
Player W bullied kids on his bus in 4th grade, never did anything to make amends.
Player X got in a fight in 3rd grade, never apologized.
Player Y stole money in 5th grade, never returned it.
Player Z used derogatory slurs in 6th grade, never showed remorse.
Ban 'em all?

Awful story what I have read about this guy. However, he was a kid when it happened. Hopefully he's matured. The Bruins rarely takes chances on projects like this, so I am curious about what they see in him (both hockey ability and human character). Incredibly atrocious act against a disabled kid, no doubt, but a person's entire life should not be trashed by a bad incident in their youth.
