Collectively the contracts aren't that bad. Some teams have cap money in the minors or are paying retained salaries or just have bad contracts.
Yea, Macarther and Michalek may be a little high, but at least they are serviceable players. Anderson is a proven NHLer, and all together the Ottawa goalie payroll is not that high. Vancouver's paying Miller 6.0m and the Leafs pay the unproven Bernier 4.1m. Most teams would be delighted to have Ottawa's payroll....and might even be better with Greening and Michalek UFAs next summer.
Did I miss something? Have Las Vegas and Quebec been awarded NHL teams?
Hey Stormm, why don't you comment in his thread instead of creating a new thread to just ask a question that might be answered ....no. Might help keep the forum a little cleaner. Just my opinion.

Hey Palhal, his name is GARRETT Sparks. And I agree. I think Subban is a bust.

Watty, thanks for the Garrett. Don't know if Subban is a bust, but no way the Leafs are going to trade a top pick...maybe one of the two Finn wingers. Think Sparks will be Leaf next year, and Bibeau a heavy workload next with the Marlies and hopefully he takes over from UFA Bernier in September 2017. Sparks and Bibeau for awhile.....Like Resch and Billy Smith....Fuhr and Moog.

Cumiskey is for depth on d. We don't know if/when tvr will get hurt or any other d man. We know what we have in him. And no one in the pipeline to step up.. Unless Erhof signs for 1.75 no need to look elsewhere.

Still, you can sign a vet dman for 1.75, keep versteeg and get rid of nordstrom and pay kruger 250k less and you have space (like 50k leftover). That puts rundblad as the 7th d and keeps the starting 6 good.

Why would Edmonton trade 4 asset for an RFA? Wait till summer and sign a free agent and keep your 4 assets.

keenbean, i watch every pens game, the way your so surprised by my comment makes me seem like you dont watch many games because he is invisible out there.

You must watch the game with blinders on as I watch every game and attend half of them. Hornqvist may not be fleet of foot but he works every shift in the tough areas of the rink. You're overreacting to a bad game. Take a deep breath and count to 10

phil kessel was replaced by pap points wise on leafs and james neal is a way better g/g player than kessel. he is on a line with malkin and hagelin i wonder why he's looking better? for ever pens fan that thought he would get 40 which he hasn't done ever before you're an idiot. saad was the smart move and they missed it now they have cheeseburger phil for 8 years or whatever

Kris Russell + 2016 3rd, becomes a 2nd if he doesn't resign FOR Nikita Scherbak

Ooouufff I had to think about this one for a bit. Russell would be a nice addition for the rest of the season and playoffs. Ultimately though, Sherbak is MTL's best prospect and can end up being another Galchenyuk so I would have to err on the side of caution and not make this deal. If we don't re-sign Russell, I'd hate myself for letting Sherbak go for only a 2nd rounder.

How long is price out for and would you guys need a goalie till he is back
