The real deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLaveragefan</b></div><div>I think the Habs are better off having two 60+ pts player than one 85pts Eichel for the same cap down the road.
Caufield will be on ELC for 3 years, and Suzuki on a bridge deal... Eichel is already paid 10M for a guy that can't seem to inspire his teammate.
Habs should pass</div></div>
Disagree, I think Suzuki will be really good and it hurts losing him, but Eichel has a much higher ceiling, on a good team he’s easily a 100point guy. Caufield is very promising but where does he fit in on the right side of this team? Gotta pay a hefty price for franchise changing players

Habs always in but never pull trigger
Is he though? He could be but PLD is already proven, and he is French, which weighs a lot more than people may realize. KK could turn out to be better, but galchenyuk looked pretty promising too..

No bullsheet
Where does caufield fit in on the right side though? I’d move him to get a guy like Dubois in a heartbeat, I’m not sold at all on him. And I would see kk as a winger before PLD. Plus I don’t think Columbus entertains anything not involving Suzuki or Kk unless caufield is involved

WTF BERGEVIN
Lesser player? Habs have a log jam at center, domi can’t play on the wing, and the habs get a big body who can protect, and score to play on the wing with one of the two young guys at center, and probably a cheaper contact. I like domi, but to get good players you need to trade good ones. Don’t rule this a bad trade until you see what a healthy Anderson brings to the table

Its a done deal at the draft
Would love to see the habs upgrade at the draft, however I don’t see Anaheim making this trade

Killorn for a 1st is probably fair, but when it’s no secret that the bolts are desperate to shed cap nobody they move is getting market value just to help their situation

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bo_Knows</b></div><div>The value is there for Danault, but if the Habs trade him they'll want a player coming the other way.</div></div>
Exactly. Fair value but the Habs are only going to trade him if they are getting someone who helps them now

big trade with Arizona
Habs would say yes 100%. Turn around and flip Kuemper and recoup a 1st and probably a 2nd or 3rd lol, bad bad trade for PIT if this ever happened

Yes from the habs all day, don’t need another left D but not hard to move one of them.

Montreal is back with Hall and Laine
Some people’s value on Laine is absolutely ridiculous, look at the mark stone trade, that’s about what you would get back probably a little higher because of age.

Cheaper capable 3rd line wing replacement, former first round pick who’s had injury issues but will be a regular, picks, and cap relief for a team who needs it, don’t think it’s that crazy of an offer

I would say that’s pretty fair, fresh start for both guys. Habs might need to add a pick to get this done
