What would it take for parayko
Genuinely? Sandin, Nylander (50% retained) Kapanen and a 2 1sts. There's no reason for STL to move Parayko

Great signing. Expires when Toews/Kane expires and still an RFA. good job Stan.

It was a preseason game. Crow was <em>horrendous</em>. Remember when we beat the Penguins 10-1? We didn't make the playoffs; they did.
Nylander has had a marginally positive Corsi and xG in all of his outings thus far, despite his linemates being negative. The lack of effort is legitimate criticism, but you're just trying to find a scapegoat. According to that logic, Kane ought to be sent to Rockford then.

I see him in Rockford. He just turned 19 years old and while I'm excited he's a Blackhawk, he still needs a lot of work defensively. Just continue his progression 1 step at a time. If he's crushing it in the AHL then we can make a decision, but let's make sure he can do that first.

Arizona trade
This team while under the cap...is not salary cap compliant. There's a bonus cushion youre over on. Meaning a team can exceed the cap by 7.5% for potential bonuses. A team can only have 6.1 million of potential bonuses on the roster if they use up cap space.
Also, what everyone forgets is Quenneville....a PPG AHL player must pass through waivers to not be on the opening night roster.

Because I said all that. I simply pointed out that this team as constructed by the poster is not a salary cap compliant team come opening night.

That's quite a bit of value tho coming back. I think youre getting a pretty fair return. Who knows maybe Jost lights it up playing with Tavares and Marner.

He has scored 20 goals in the NHL so my guess is a few teams will take a flyer on him and whoever gives up the 3rd will get him.</div></div>
FWIW, you're pretty consistently one of, if not the most realistic Leafs fans on here, though.

Chicago with their guys never had these issues</div></div>
It's a different league now. It's getting smaller, faster and more skilled. Plus every single defensemen is over 200 except Stralman, which is half their team! Trying to make everyone big is what got the Oilers into their mess. Wouldn't you want an 18:00 per night player to be the most skilled guy you could find? And you can't possibly say that a third round exit is a choke. That's so hard to do in this league, especially three times in a row. Granted, losing the 3-2 leads is a choke, but the Capitals were notorious for Game 7 losses, and they eventually got over it by sticking with the same core and learning from their mistakes. I know it's frustrating, I'm pissed too, but just be patient.

Colliton has no idea what hes doing
I would be willing to bet that Colliton has zero (or close to zero) say in the roster each night. I mean seriously...Who knows the IceHogs more than Colliton? No Body. Stan's afraid that if he stops putting guys like Rutta, Kunitz, Ward on the ice...then there won't be a trade partner for them @ the TDL. AND I hate to say it, but he's right about that. This year, this team was never a playoff team...Q or no Q. Is this proving Q is the best coach in the league. Yeah Probably. Would I have liked to keep Q...oh heck yeah, but the effort level of the Hawk players is absent too. Blocked Shots are way down. Physicality was never a strong point, but sticking up for your teammates never used to be an issue. It was last night. Here's the real sign. If Joki goes to worlds instead of play with the Hawks. Then you'll see the first deliberate move to take away one of the better defenders (I'm not ready to say best) from this team...and it's not like that year of ELC comes back. It's not a 9 game stint back to the OHL. It's just losing hockey. You'll see Sikura and Hillman in March I'm sure.
