<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Timmah007</b></div><div>Well done? You gave away a premium right shot puck mover and a young very high potential top six winger for a 3rd and Erne...... Chiarelli would get a better return for just one of them in his sleep than you got combined. Look what Holland paid for an expiring kulak Barrie is a right shot with term and significantly better resume. Paying a second to move the final year of an LTIR contract? Wtf is the point of that? I love Gagner wouldn't mind him as an extra forward option but putting him in a third line role at this stage of his career. Playing a lefty rookie on the right side defense to start the year. Do these issues fall in line with a team that's looking to improve upon a final four appearance? I will give credit contract numbers look pretty reasonable.</div></div>

There there, we'll make it through the summer together, buddy.

Let's tackle this trade. Tyson Barrie, 3rd pair deployment below Cody Ceci and Evan Bouchard, plays PP1 with *checks notes* Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl and makes 4.5 million per year. Jesse Puljujarvi, a player I personally adore but JUST had our very GM express doubt about him during a very public press conference.

Our GM, a man that had all the leverage in the world decided to trade Caleb Jones and a 3rd for ancient Duncan Keith with ZERO retention.

Where in this equation lies our leverage in moving either player? Kassian is gone, Erne is a physical defensive minded player, with size, and he actually has a brain unlike Zack. 3rd is earned by effectively making Barrie only cost them 2.4 mil.

Separate from this, Ken has mentioned moving Klefbom's contract, so it will probably happen. Gagner is fair to be apprehensive about, our options on RW are tough with 2 mil remaining and do you expect Ken to make a reasonable trade to acquire anyone for the role of top 9 RW? Gags had a great year and played 3rd line time, he would do just fine with Nuge and Kuz.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>I don't see the Sens trading a good prospect and a 3rd for a guy they don't need. They aren't trying to be good next year, Zaitsev, Zub, Jaros and maybe an FA signing is all the depth they'll need on the right side. He doesn't figure into the long term plans either with JBD and Thomson on the way in the next couple years (and Zaitsev is signed forever). Maybe try to see if Winnipeg will bite?</div></div>
Ah fair enough. Unfortuantely, Winnipeg would be better off keeping DeMelo than taking on Larsson, so that doesn't work.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kadooodle</b></div><div>I believe you're overvaluing Larsson and undervaluing Archibald by trading him. Larsson is worth a 3rd at most right now because of his contract and production, so it should be clear that the Sens wouldn't accept that trade irl. Also Archibald is good depth who proved himself to be flexible on both the offence and defence, so to trade him after 1 year is unjustified. Dylan Demelo is also no better than Larsson, so I think it'd be better just to trade Larsson for a pick and then use that cap to sign a UFA defenceman.</div></div>

I'm good with Larsson for just the pick straight up, the cap is the biggest issue. Big time disagree with Larsson vs DeMelo, Larsson is worse for sure. Larsson's underlying numbers are all worse than DeMelo's. Archibald I can see your point with the quick sign and trade, but I don't think we should keep him. He is god awful at generating anything offensively and is serviceable in his own end. There's better options.
