I don't understand why Coghlan doesn't get more playing time and love in CAR. I get they have depth, but I would think some team in need of offense would come calling for him

It doesn't clear the defense logjam, it just replaces a good defenseman with a meh one and adds a role playing forward that you say the Jets have to many of.

THough your assessment of Lafferty is spot on, you're way off on Liljgren. He'll be a top 4 dman this year, with a development to a #2 on most teams over the next 2 years. He took big strides last year, and is still only 24. Dillon is a 32 year old journeyman, who doesn't add much offense, and had a much worse +/- that Liljgren, playing in front of a better goalie and playing with a better d partner.
