Thread:
Los Angeles Kings signed Jonny Brodzinski (2 Years / $650,000 AAV)
TheScore called him an "analytics expert's dream" as he has high Corsi and Fenwick percentages (61.5 and 63 percent, in respective order). Brodzinski has also scored well wherever he's played so far and chances are he'll be able to score well in the NHL as well.

Except he's a LW, not LD.</div></div>
Than in that case HockeyDB and CapFriendly got his position wrong.

A scoring d-man (20 gaols and 38 points in 67 games) who may get his first taste of the NHL this year.

Edmonton Oilers signed Jussi Jokinen (1 Year / $1,100,000 AAV)
If Jokinen can bounce back from his not-so-good season than this signing will turn out great for Edmonton. The risk is low and the value's pretty good.

Edmonton Oilers signed Grayson Downing (1 Year / $650,000 AAV)
An undrafted forward who has spent the past three years in the AHL. Probably won't make his first NHL appearance this year.

Edmonton's next few years will sure be pretty interesting.

Edmonton Oilers signed Brad Malone (2 Years / $650,000 AAV)
A physical forward who spent all of last season in the AHL after some average, if not mediocre campaigns with Colorado and Carolina.

Edmonton Oilers signed Edward Pasquale (1 Year / $700,000 AAV)
Goalie with 6 years of AHL experience but not a single game played in the NHL as of now. I personally don't see him playing his first ever NHL game with us this year.

Thread:
Edmonton Oilers signed Ryan Stanton (2 Years / $700,000 AAV)
Stanton used to be a decent d-man with Vancouver before falling off the map. He spent all of the 2016-17 season in the AHL, and hopefully he can bounce back from some bad seasons and play like he used to.

Edmonton Oilers signed Ty Rattie (1 Year / $700,000 AAV)
24 year old with not much NHL experience yet (35 games in 4 seasons). Was a great prospect who has been doing fine in the AHL but hasn't done enough to gain a full-time spot in the NHL.

Ottawa Senators signed Mike Condon (3 Years / $2,400,000 AAV)
Condon's a great backup goalie who has been a starter before. That being said, he's almost surely not going to take the starting role away from Anderson. Good goalie, but not as good of a signing.

Edmonton Oilers signed Eric Gryba (2 Years / $900,000 AAV)
With Sekera injured to start next season, Gryba could be some use to Edmonton. That being said, he's at best a third line d-man with not a lot of value. He shouldn't have more than a 1 year deal.

More of a physical guy than a scorer. He's underrated but a key part to the Oilers lineup.

Not bad. This shows that there are some really talented young forwards playing in the NHL as of now, especially when Marner has to settle for fourth line right winger.

Vegas Golden Knights signed Erik Haula (3 Years / $2,750,000 AAV)
Honesty, the Golden Knights should've just taken Dumba, or even Staal, but instead choose an average third liner, who isn't that bad but isn't as good as a former 100 point scorer who's still going strong or a potential future top 5 d-man.

Right now I say it's a win-win for both teams. Don't be surprised though if the deal turns out to be won by Edmonton in the future.

Washington Capitals signed T.J. Oshie (8 Years / $5,750,000 AAV)
He may be worth 5.75 million a year, but definitely not worth an 8 year deal. Love the player, but I hate the contract he has.
