um...have you seen their cap situation next year? They'd be foolish not to move Johnson, he of 15 points on the year. DIllons contract expires at the end of the year so that gives them some serious relief.

What does he do?</div></div>
Joel was scouted from Sweden by Shin Larsson (SJ's director of Euro Scouting). He was signed this summer. He has a high hockey IQ, hes got a pass-first mentality, plays two ways. very solid. Doesn't possess much in the way of offense with 16 points in 25 games in the AHL but will be a reliable center on the fourth line with the Sharks. I'm only surprised he wasn't called up sooner.
He comes the same way Melker Karlsson and Marcus Sorensen did as in he's not 19 years old, hes already 26.
He is not a top line player so this is obviously a joke.

He better be one of the top 3 defenseman of all time then. Here is a list of defenseman in the last TWENTY years who have had a 50+ point seasons at 35 or older (as he's 34 now your claiming for his age 35+ seasons)
There are 14 guys on the list. But 10 of them only did it once. 3 guys (MacInnis, Schneider and Zubov). One guy did it 5 times: Lidstrom, you know arguably a top 3 d of all time.
He's the only guy in the last 20 years who had "3-4 50 point seasons at 35+".</div></div>
I watch him play every game. He is very capable of it. You’ll see.

He’s 34 not 38. There is a distinct difference. He will decline but he’s got another 3-4 years of 50+ point seasons.

Jones is an excellent playoff goalie, after three straight losses to VGK last year he was excellent again, so don’t let those numbers fool you. Also Jones’ net problems are bad now but they’ve been exploited due to the Sharks terrible and inconsistent defense the last two years. Jones isn’t as bad as his numbers suggest.
We hope Nabokov can get him back to where he needs to be because Hedbergs message clearly got stale. Nabby was mentored by Warren Strelow (same goalie mentor for Brodeur and Kiprusoff) so I think some of that tutelage will rub off on Jones and it already has on Dell, who has been very good actually.

Kane has one fewer point than your top scorer and more goals than anyone on the islanders. We have six guys with at least 20 points, your team has four. Did you bother looking up stats or do you just pull your banality arbitrarily out of your asshole when you are bored?

Weekend lines probably
I’m excited to see Kellman play. I was surprised he wasn’t called up when he was leading the Cuda in points. He’s a solid, stable center, can kill penalties and chip in offensively.
Noesen, while being defensively irresponsible and a bit injury prone in the past is a pretty pure sniper which we need. I would start him on the 2nd line rw and see if he can put the puck on net a few times, which we desperately need. With Labanc out, this is a huge chance for Noesen to prove he still belongs in the NHL.
I love Marleau but as he ages, his cold streaks get longer and longer though he has still been very effective for us.
Suomela was activated off IR btw, he is a strong possibility on line 3 or 4.

That’s a good point, burnsy is another level of fitness and strength. He’ll be an effective player for 3-4 more years.
Caveat here is that Burns likely wouldn’t accept a trade to Toronto. He loves SJ and if he were to move anywhere I think it’d have to be Dallas (lives in Texas during summer) or another Pacific team. It’s a good thought though and while Burns is having a comparatively rough season I think he will turn it around when the team turns it around, and when Burns is on his game, we sharks fans know he is unstoppable most nights. I’m not ready to see him go just yet.

Hey Eli
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Yojimbo</b></div><div>The sad this is that that is actually not that far off. However, you need to account for cap. Maybe retention on Ovechkin and throw a bad contract back to the Caps for "balance". You also need to just find some obscure "advanced" stat that PROVES how the Caps are actually winning this deal. That is easier than it sounds because you simply ignore 100% of everything else other than that one "advanced" stat. And when you counter any responses... only bring up players that are not even part of the trade.</div></div>

Karlsson has made a fine pair with Vlasic as well. Once they paired together both their +/- sky rocketed. There’s nothing intelligent about this guys trade.

He has negative value right now, but since it's THAT bad...and it is that bad...if you want to dump him then it would be an insane cost today.

GSAA of -22.87 and -16.21 for the past 2 years. He's terrible.</div></div>
You misread my point, obviously. I said I wouldn’t trade Merkley for Crawford. I don’t care about Jones because he is not moveable. Merkley is a top offensive defenseman prospect and he is worth wayyyy more than Crow coming off major concussions and 34 years old. Not. Even. Close.

Merkley is not being traded for an aging, oft injured goalie on the back 9 of his career...not even remotely considerable.
Idk why his idiot is trading Jones, Jones is untradeable with his contract. I’d much rather keep Jones and Merkley then take Crawford. I don’t mean this offensively, this trade shouldn’t exist at all.

Wtf...SJ playoffs or not would have to be mentally unstable to trade their best forward prospect and their top scorer with the Barracuda for freaking Ceci.. and your thought was Ceci would “get Karlsson going”. Ceci is an RHD, Karlsson is an RHD. Did you consider that? I’ve seen you make trades for the Sharks many times and as Bill said, they always make the Sharks much worse...do you have something against Sharks fans? Some weird vendetta? Or just really clueless and bored.
