CHI-VGK trade
Chicago is set on LHD with Maata, DeHaan and Keith and Koekkoek. I don't see why they would need to add Merrill and the picks aren't all that tantalizing as they will be late in each round. I think they can do better for Gustafsson.

Totally. I just went off of what I have seen personally as a Sharks fan.

Panarin did it to these guys, Thornton did it for a declining Heatley, an overachieving Cheechoo and Setoguchi. All these guys owe Jumbo and Panarin lots and lots of cash.

Hellebuyck is super impressive this year. And the couple times I have watched Jets this year they have looked great in every facet of the game.

Are the Jets a cup contender
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>CBJ can probably get a little more as Anderson has a fair amount of value still being under RFA and coming off a 40 pt season. As for the question in the title, its really hard to say. Hellebyuck is pulling a Hall (from 2 years ago) and literally forcing his team to the playoffs. I think they still lack that true offensive 2C and their RD depth is still pretty questionable. without addressing those needs first I think cup contender is a bit of a reach. They seem to be in NYR's good books, i could see them making an offer for Ryan Strome. Unlike thier last two 2C rentals Strome will still be an RFA at season's end and like his brother Dylan, seems to flourish when playing with elite wingers. However Wheeler seems to be doing pretty good at 2C right now, Maybe doing what CGY did with Lindholm and Monahan will work better for WPG</div></div>
I think Anderson’s value has been blown out of proportion because of his one year with Panarin which blew up his numbers. Now, sans Panarin he is likely showing his true colors. Although I do think he’s a 30-35 point player in the nhl and he’s just having a bad time this year if you go back all the way to the playoffs last year he has like 2 goals in his last 50 some games.

Realistic trade for Labanc
All SJ has really changed is the forecheck which is now a 2-2-1 format instead of Pete’s 1-2-2 setup. Beyond that they’re taking less shots from the point (Burns, Karlsson) and moved Labanc to the high slot on the PP. they have like five days off before a back-to back vs STL and VGK this weekend (brutal) but maybe the practice time, which SJ rarely gets due to their travel schedule (which is historically the worst in the league) will let Boughners system set in and be successful. But I think it might be too late.

It’s true. They fix one issue and another pops up, every single time. Starting to think DeBoer wasn’t really the problem. Simply replacing Steve Spott would have been sufficient.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ragsandbluesfan</b></div><div>Labanc for georgiev?</div></div>
At this point, I would do it. Though Dell has improved vastly and taken the starting job.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Smitty426</b></div><div>What are the needs in SJ?</div></div>
A top six RW. A 3rd pairing RHD. A miracle. A Power Play that can score (1 for 35 or something recently). And a Miracle. Consistent goaltending. A Miracle. If all else fails we will need to find a way to get a first round pick in this upcoming draft.

Why when Dell has been playing really good? He has taken the starting job from Jones. We do need an RHD but if this season is a bust I’d rather keep Letunov, he’s our best scorer in the AHL and might get a call up soon. Rather see what he can do.

Dell has emerged as the teams starter. Jones isn’t going anywhere and Hutch is not a good goalie. This is a waste of time for SJ

Dell is actually better than Copley, Kane has more value than Oshie, and tossing Merkley and a 2nd for a fourth makes this 100% a troll post. Ignore Eli, he did this in the summer too, a bunch a really dumb trades for SJ, he’s an ACGM troll.
