ANOTHER TRADE WITH THE PREDS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nik_SH</b></div><div>LOL. NO.
WHY?:
1)NSH lost good young left-winger 43 points in 67 games at first full season-it is very nice. Fialla should be potentional 40-50 and mb(later) 60 point scorer. AND he is ONLY 21 y.o. with last year of contract RFA. His potentional Cap Hit in 19-20 season=5-6 millions.
2) NSH lost good 3rd line center(whos also universal player). With a stable 30 points per season and very good contract(only 2m and 4!! years). This season Jarnkrok should has 40+ points. AH, ofc he is only 26 y.o!!!
3)NSH lost 1st round pick again, also no protection of pick(top-5?, top-10? nah).-No reason to use first pick in trades like that.
What NSH added:
1) MAX PACIORETTY-rly nice "elite?" player. But he has only 37 points after 64 games this season, he is 29 y.o. Maybe his best years are over? Where are the guarantees that this is not so? ALSO only 1 year of 4,5m contract. (UFA) And it looks like he will ask for more than 6 million(more then Fiala). This is simply not an economically expedient exchange.
2) 30 y.o. good def for 3rd line!!! with only 1 year of contract.(UFA)
3) Carr....no coments... -_-
--------------------------------------------------
This trade is terrible. And i have no idea how it can be 5 stars and "looks good".</div></div>
It should have read: looks good for the Habs, cause it does... but not so much for the Preds

Realistic Hockey Trade during offseason
I like you PAC for ROR trade!
I think it could benefit both teams.
I don'T agree on giving up Byron for a 2nd and a 3rd. Not worth the return

You mean join Your reality ? It's a 2019 1st, and wiith Karlsson habs are a playoff team, so no High first.
Pac has one year left before hitting free agency, Karlsson is RFA

I'm a Habs fan, and a Galchenyuk's fan, but I think you're overpaying.
One for one would be enough.
Not sure I would do it though. Chucky's skills are off the roof. I still have faith he'll become a 70+points player in the near future

Said it in some other post, but if you watched the game yesterday you know Shaw's value significantly dropped.
3 concussions in a year... doubt the guy comes back. I mean, he got this one while hitting another player!!
And it's a shame cause I like the player and what he brings to Mtl

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Truebeliever</b></div><div>With Lavoie and Lafrenniere on the horizon, the Habs won't be giving up a 2019 or 2020 first-rounder for anything. Karlsson might be a solid player, but there was a solid reason Columbus made him available to Vegas. Whatever it is, it probably doesn't add up to Max, a first rounder, a second rounder and JDLR.</div></div>
Do not agree, at all.
Terrible mistake to expose him. The guy is one heck of a player _+ best ratio in the league

Sorry but The only reason of doing this type of trade is in getting asset at a lower cost as they are closed to the cap and they really want to sign back Zucker and Dumba.</div></div>
Agree, Brodin is a solid top 4, but if Habs try to retool quickly they have to target a #2

I like it, but I think Habs still need a #2 D, and I don't think Mete is the guy.

Very optimist trades, but if Bergevin can pull it off I'm all for it!
In terms of the alignment, I wouldn't put a rookie as your #1 C.
Maybe keep Drouin for a year as 1C and move Steel to #3.
Shaw (if he ever plays again!) could go back to the wing

I think it's a contender, not as good as Tampa, but could compete for the cup

Chucky had a bad year after his injury, but his talent is off the roof. The guy will hit 50 points this year on a terrible team with no puck transition from the D and playing 4th line minutes for the first 20 games or so.
Anyway, good luck trading Lucic

Now that Tampa is out, I think Karlson's best team to be dealt to are the Jets.
I would easily add Trouba, a first and a A type prospect (Roslovic) t o get him.
That would put the Jets over the top!

And you have enough cap to Raise McCarron to 950 000$, Tavares to 12 500 000$ and Danault to 3 500 000$ (If signed for 4-5 years).
And enough space to sign Valiev as your #7-8D

De la Rose looked good so far as Pleky's replacement.
I think he can handle 4th line duty.
Hudon has to be in the first 3 lines. He's been really good and soon his offensive production will pick up.
If we sign Evans he will want to be in, but he would have to push a decent winger or center off the lineup.
I still think best way to go is to trade Max Pac. Otherwise, we have as natural LW:
Max Pac
Drouin
Galch
Byron
Hudon
Lehkonen

Max Pac can bring back more (A prospect + 1st). A perennial 30-35 goal scorer doesn't come cheap.
If we can get Boqvist it would be awesome!
