That doesn’t mean he is a 4th line player. Not saying he will be a 50 pt guy or anything but the fact is we won’t know until he is ever given the minutes to prove it. Same with bracco, he has lots of potential but is stuck behind marner nylander kapanen.
Truth is bracco for sure and maybe even timashov are more valuable than lias right now regardless of age. Not that they are as old as you making them seem.

Actually timashov has a decent amount of points playing on the 4th line and playing very little minutes... especially since keefe has taken over. Not to mention he hasnt played nearly every game.

Insert Valimaki here!! Hopefully he recovers well but the kid was looking good.
And I personally andersson is playing top pair pretty full time next year

But I do see your points. As for the whole trading within the division thing... that generally applies to people with term or if a team still thinks they have a shot. Ottawa knows they don’t have a shot this year and will just look for best deal regardless of team... if the draft goes well maybe they think differently next year.</div></div>
I also have no idea why my phone quoted your reply 5 times lol.

Overall... decent
But I doubt they would trade bracco for a non high grade ufa defenceman. Not saying Demelo isn’t good but I think bracco would be an overpay.

Saad is definitely capable of being moved but Chicago will probably have to retain some money unless they take a contract back.
But no way Calgary is trading Andersson right now.

Also just clarifying im not suggesting brown for spurgeon. Im saying he would be the forward packaged in a deal that had a pick or liljegren. I believe they are high on sandin.

I love spurgeon and believe he is the perfect type of underrated player that the leafs need... But kapanen+ other assets is not happening. If the leafs are going to upgrade their blueline it will not come at the expense of their forwards unless that name is brown. Kapanen and johnsson arent going anywhere. They are young and cheap and both have a reasonable chance at being signed to team friendly ish deals.

Thank you. Also i dont see a world in where pietrangelo gets more than karlsson. Also they can have liljegren... As long as the roster is untouched minus zaitsev.

No way pietrangelo has more value than karlsson. Pietrangelo is clearly not the same player but still reliable.
And did the sharks give any key pieces up to get karlsson. No they gave a few decent pieces and picks. No way leafs give kapanen. The whole point would be to improve.

1) not nearly enough for Pietrangelo.

Both teams say no.</div></div>
Um actually the leafs would only be taking roughly 1 mill more with the retained money. And the way pietrangelo and the blues are playing this is better than what others are suggesting the leafs give up. This isnt pietrangelo of 2014. Hes still a solid dman but hed probably be better in toronto than in st louis.
Im not saying the blues should give him up but also remember zaitsev played his best when he was actually relied upon to be a producer.

I love this deal. Myers is a potential dman that could benefit the leafs greatly and also not take away from the young talent philly currently has on its roster.
Also konecny is good in all zones, plays his heart out and is pretty gritty which the leafs could use some more of. Philly gets nylanders top line talent.
Different and creative... Well done.

I like everything until the gio trade. I would keep gio for that price and i feel the vegas trade is sort of not needed given the fact that miller is rhd not a lhd.
Not saying i wouldnt take him but they probably wont target a rhd unless they get rid of stone plus another rhd that would be on the roster.

Edit: On second thought, CLB would need to add in the Anderson trade. As good as Anderson is he's a winger and top 4's are not easy to acquire.....</div></div>
Nicely said. Agree 100%. Need more than just anderson.
I also agree with trading bennett but if i were to get rid of bennett i would make it part of a big deal. But this would work as well. Would also make us on the p.k less.

Just cause one bad GM did it, doesn't mean the Leafs are going to. Marner and Nylander combining for somewhere around 14 is very realistic</div></div>
Well said... I think 14 mill between the 2 is even a little high. I love nylander but he isnt exactly lighting the world in fire....
Plus goals gets you more money than assists do. Neither of them have 20 at the moment so the leafs could probably use that to their advantage and get them at 6 each... The ehlers deal.

Very accurate list. Wouldnt surprise me if they got rid of some players this off season to recover some picks and actually give valimaki or kylington as well as andersson mangiapane and maybe even foo a chance to play every day next year.
Also wouldnt surprise me if they package fox as part of a deal to land a big fish for the reason you stated of not signing him yet. Fox is wanted very much league wide.
