Lines with Kadri
Unfortunately I do think Beau will be the odd man out because he can bring back the most value due to age. I wish people would get off Milano just because he is an LI kid. Dobson has to either accept a 3 year bridge to when is UFA status hits or takes less $$4 and go 5+. Romanov gets most like 4 x $2.5. Assuming they want to tie Dobson up versus bridge it will look like 5 x $5.5. If Dobson wrongfully tries to hit the homerun for $7m plus after only really one good year than they will move him because he will instantly bring the most back. They will not give Dobson any sort of 7 x$7 deal nor should they. Guessing Kadri does not get over $7m because Lou will unfortunately give most term so 5 x$7m seems right. At the end of the day Bailey should go due to the cap hit and Beau providing youth in today's type of game but again I think beau has most value. If they could get Varly to BUF, who wants to compete, for Comrie and maybe a pick or two than that would really help. Depending upon where they stand at the deadline - Pageau, Varly & Clutter are all pieces that would be heavily sought by playoff teams that could bring good value and space for years to come and let's not lose sight that 2023 first and second round picks around the league are viewed as extremely important in what is one of the deeper and better drafts in years. The biggest break NYI could catch before the year starts is if a major contender were to suffer a goalie injury now or camp. Varly value and contract would be gone and fetch a good return.

Creating cap space for Kadri and to Resign DobsonBellowsRomanov
Too low on Romanov
For the love of God Bellows isn't worth that $$$ at all
they will not trade the 2023 first unless it is serious haul back as this is very deep and talented draft. Many teams want extra 2023 firsts but that will cost. Salary dumps may get the 2024 first but not 2023
Johnston must go before Martin

Idk anymore
Bellows is getting over $875 per nor is he worth than that
Romanova nd Dobson will not get the same term as that lends to creating cap issue shaving to sign too many players at the same time. By trading 13 for Romanov tells me he is 4 years minimum. Dobson has to get 3 year bridge because if he gets 4 or more years than he is UFA at expiration and that doesn't fit well right now. I would say $4.75 x 3 for Dobson is right and Romanov $2.5 for 4 or 5
Plus we know after is training skate in FL last night in fully NYI gear that Romanov is signed but as per typical Lou terms not released. NHL rules he cannot be given team apparel as he had on last night unless under contract

Assuming Kadri is Signed - Any Hockey Trades Left
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Barzal is not moving to wing, he will be traded if they ask him to do it
Barzal constantly drives the middle of the ice, he doesn’t create off the wall.</div></div>
To each their own opinion yet Barzal being right handed constantly after red line on every zone entry will push with his speed to either side wall which he should do and has done over and over on film. Not sure why anyone gets so up in arms about him moving outside? He played W for Team Canada as well both at Juniors and Worlds. His speed wide will open the ice and allow for middle lane drive and weak side wing either far post drive or high cut back across grain. I am big Barzy guy but in my opinion on want him outside not Nelson.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Funksoljah</b></div><div>While I understand Barzal is a very good player who might be able to produce more in a different situation, the return from Anaheim just seems a bit high to me. Drysdale was a 6th overall pick and projects to be a top 4 Dman, McTavish was just taken 3rd overall and has thus far lived up to the hype around him, he has performed well at every level. Add in a 2023 1st that is likely a lottery pick in a draft being compared to 2015, and that is essentially 3 top 10 picks for a center who has been a 60 - 70 point player the past 4 seasons. He isn't an all situations center either, he gets mostly offensive zone starts, doesn't PK and isn't good on face-offs, but will likely want an Eichel type of deal on his next contract.</div></div>
Fair enough response

Can we all stop giving Dobson crazy term and anything over $4.75. He's going bridge at 3 x $4.75 most likely and Romanov in the same sort 3 or 4 x $2.5 window for now. They have to look ahead too

That is literally worst Miller to NYI trade i have seen on this site to date. How in the world would NYI take that? If you want Barzal and Dobson you better have the realistic VAN out players looking like Garland, Miller, Hoglander and Rathbone and the 2024 1st unprotected,

CAL had made it cl3ear the minimum three parts are a top 6 F, top prospect and 2023 unprotected first - the bare minimum NJD has to part with is Bratt (if they want another RFA), Hughes or Nemec, Holz and 2023 first

Umm yes there is a reason - Lindholm is an elite scoring true first line center which Barzy is not. See my post above.

CAL but NOT Tkachuk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeypal</b></div><div>No Barzal stays C and wow what an overpayment</div></div>
Not sure that is an overpayment at all if you look at the last four years of Lindholm's numbers. And yes Barzy would go to W as he likes to create off wall and Lindholm better at dot.
Lindholm 2018-22 = GP 289, G 117, Asst 144, TP 261
Barzal 2018-22 = GP 308, G 69, Asst 157, TP 226
I am 45+ year Isles fan loyally but we all need to get off the Barzy elite wagon. He has elite talent but it has yet to manifest itself outside his rookie season. Lindholm is quite honestly the better player at both ends of the ice. If there is any way i can trade for Lindholm and keep Barzy on my roster than this nowhere near an overpayment
