Canucks already said they want lysell as the main peice, keep in mind the first will be likely 28-32 ovr. Canucks will not take mediocre offers for Horvat there is a lot of interest.

Minny trade would be closer to a 1 for 1. Boeser for Dumba and maybe the odd sweetner with retention idk.

Neither will the Miller contract hence the whole point of this trade.

Be on the top end of the returns if hes a rental. Canucks have potential to get good within 2 years with their core so that might urge him. Also another star swede in Petterson could convince him to waive.

Knies is gonna be so much better in my opinion and I think a lot of leafs fans would back me up on that. Not saying Minten isn't gonna be good cause he very well will be but Knies is a different breed.

Would this work for either team
I could see Fabbro straight up for Boeser because a BB6 trade rn is not going to give you a lot in return. His value is not there rn. Good time to trade for him but bad time to trade him. Vancouver would probably consider like I said the 1 for 1 just because they are wanting to move on from him. Last year Boeser would have been worth this for sure though so you were not super far off.

Besides last year Mcdavid couldn't even guarentee the Oilers playoff success. Its a built up team that will get you there.

Can the leafs afford an extension on him? Im not really up to date with their cap situation going into next season.

Not sure about Boeser although id assume his time in Van is nearing its end. But the Canucks were picking between Horvat and Kuzemenko and it has been reported by Rick Dhaliwal they could not sign both.

You can't say Ceci is trash. Very solid defender. puljujarvi has low value yes but interest is picking up for him and as a part of a bigger deal he has value to some teams.

Like I said in another reply Horvat is very good on both ends of the ice and Shenn would be a good add. Also Ken Holland this year has said he is willing to trade the first round pick just not for a rental.

And that offer is easily beaten. Ceci and Puljujarvi have little to no value. There is no way Horvat is getting dealt within the division for that offer. Other teams like Carolina and Detroit would offer far better.
And show proof that Horvat would sign with Edmonton when he's pretty much said that he and his family are living in London Ontario year round. Sorry but Edmonton is over 2,400 miles from London Ontario.</div></div>
Marek talked about how the Canucks are likely looking to regain roster players, rather than draft picks and future assets in a deal for Horvat.

Its official Horvat is gone
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>I don't see how Edmonton would be able to sign Horvat to a long-term deal unless he's willing to take an RNH-type discount, but it probably starts with trading Barrie instead of Ceci. Barrie isn't the type of defender that Vancouver needs, but Edmonton needs to add to their defence as is, so they aren't going to get rid of Ceci who they consider one of their better defenders and who is also cheaper. So, there might not be a fit here in terms of trading or perhaps there will just be more bald/balding Vancouver fans in the near future.</div></div>
Your 100% correct. Horvat extension would be super difficult. Im just not sure Oilers could be able to move Barrie without giving up a first round pick. Barrie has also had a great season with the Oilers this year which is being over looked because of his contract and the fact that hes been terrible the last two seasons. Ceci brings more value to the table and would maybe imo be a valueable peice for Vancouver to get out of a Horvat deal. Also I think Shenn could replace Cecis play for much cheaper. Also Bo Horvat is great on both ends of the ice which the Oilers desperatly need and I would be willing to slightly downgrade on ceci to get that.

Ok but how would that work with the salary cap? Also I think a second is good enough for Toews and we would have to add for Garland.
