With Toews and Pulock looking like the real deal, I think it'd be moronic to bring back Seidenberg so actually, Snow probably announces a Seidenberg extension tomorrow</div></div>

Toews/Pulock serve a completely different purpose than Seidenberg for starters (he also will not be coming back at that price). Moronic would be assuming that Toews will translate to NHL. Braken Kearns has the most points on the Soundtigers... that doesn't make him the real deal in the NHL.

Grabovski should be bought out or put on LTIR

Calvin De haan's contract is over by a good amount. his QO would be at or less then 3 million

There is a lot of fat that needs to be trimmed off this roster, it gives very little flexibility. people need to be traded- Nelson/Strome and Bailey most notably</div></div>

Toews won faster skater at the AHL all-star challenge and has 41 points in 71 games this season which is very encouraging. Kearns is 35 years old Toews was 22/23 years old this season. Age matters when you are evaluating production in a development league.

Seidenberg is a replacement level defenseman by almost any possession metric and only has bottom pairing scoring rates due to an inflated on ice shooting %. Seidenberg is 1st on the Islanders in on-ice shooting percentage and 16th in the entire league. Seidenberg's production can largely be attributed to luck and de Haan had been dragging that anchor of a partner up and down the ice the majority of the season.
