Change of Scenery

I'm not the biggest Bertuzzi fan, but saying a guy with 5 points (2g+3a) has more value than the "worthless" player with (3g+1a) this year (both in 13GP) is very silly.
Again, I don't think this trade would make the Jets better, but it really wouldn't make them worse either.

Oh trust me I don't think the Jets should make this move, but based on how they're using him, I don't think keeping him there makes much sense.
Based on his play over the last two years and his deployment by Bowness, his value isn't very high right now in my opinion.

Kings get a Goalie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Kings already have Portillo and Rittich in the AHL, this doesn't move the needle</div></div>
I'll be honest, I don't quite understand this. Neither of those guys are great (Portillo could become great, but he isn't right now), and the Kings need a guy who might be better than what they have.
Is Driedger going to be a Vezina calibre Goalie? No, probably not, but in the games he has played, he's been ok. But the main thing the kings get in this trade is cap space. Arvidsson is great, but the Kings are winning fine without him, and their biggest need is goalie and D, not forward.
I don't think Driedger is the guy they go with but if they want to be a cup contender, either one of the guys they have needs to play out of their minds, OR they make a trade.

LA 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>We could probably have Bear for a fourth. Why should we trade our best defender for him?
P.S. The Walker and Arvidsson trades are silly.</div></div>
After thinking about it, I agree with the Roy take, I knew Roy was a good player but I didn't know just how valuable he was to kings fans.
I do disagree about Arvidsson though. He and Yams had around the same point total last year and one makes much money if they want to make big moves. not only that but you're getting a 23-year-old for a 29-year-old with similar point production, Arvidsson's a great player but his injury problems and age make him less valuable than a player like Yams. I also don't think Yams makes more then 3.2 next year so it's a pretty good deal for LA.
As for Walker, he's a cap dump. He's a fine player but an overpayment at 2.7, and like Arvidsson makes it hard to make other deals. Maybe a 3rd is too much but I can't see anything less than a 4th to take him.

LA 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItWasIn</b></div><div>I actually think a 2nd and another pick would do it. The Flames have dealt a lot of picks recently. I also think they really believe in Mackey and Valimaki, besides whoever plays with Tanev gets a bump. Wouldn't be crazy if Mackey or Valimaki look really good beside him like Kylington did.
My offer to Kylington would be the Forsling deal, 2.6x3. If he wants more, I'd explore a trade.</div></div>
Fair Enough, I've always liked Kylington more than most so I'm most likely overvaluing him a bit.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeautifulIdiot</b></div><div>dont think you'll need to give up that much for kylington
but, if you are looking for a #1LD, can I interest you in a former captain, former 6th overall pick, a 6'2" shutdown defenceman who could also be your PP1 guy if you wanted. We will even retain some money for you to bring his cap hit down to just 6.36M. He even has some term left, expiring at the end of the 26-27 year. he has also had 2 20+ goal seasons and has rounded out his game to be a shut down defenceman.</div></div>
Lol as a Coyotes fan there is no way of selling me on OEL. I love the guy but he's not an idea to add to a young team like LA. Trust me I'm a neutral fan so I don't really care but I think the guy may not have it in him anymore. But hey Dylan Guenther looking pretty good right :)

Nyquist trade is just a slap in the face as he is worth more then a b level prospect and a cap dump.
I like McDonagh, but I don’t like his contract and I doubt he waive his NTC for Columbus.</div></div>
I just looked back at Nyquist stats and wow I don't know what I was thinking. my bad I swore he missed like half of this past year I didn't know he played the full 82. I'm going to change that one lol

Cap Dump for OTT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PLDGEY</b></div><div>OTT declines.
OTT is not so cap crunched that they have to spend draft capital to dump Zaitsev.
They could dump him next year for cheaper if need be when they need to pay Stu</div></div>
I think it's more the fact that they want to be competitive next year. Their defence (outside of Chabot and Zub) is pretty bad, and if they dump probably their worst contracts (and White) they could get a ton in free agency and try for a playoff spot.
Because there is no way a team that employs Zaitsev as a first pair RD is a playoff team, or one that pays Del Zotto 2m.

I feel people are either way too high on Eichel or way too low on him. I think you're the latter here.
Jack Eichel's only risk is his Injury, otherwise, you're getting a top 5 center in the NHL. If we go by the reported trade the Flames are offering I think this offer is light in comparison.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Neither of those offers is even close, my friend. And while I know how you got the idea that the Blues lost faith in Dunn, those early season tweets about them shopping him were nothing more than clickbait speculation because he was sat for ONE game. Frankly, at this point, I'd rather find a way to offload Krug more than Dunn. But if Dunn is dealt, and that certainly may happen, it will take something closer to a 1st or a mid-to-high 2nd and a solid RD or LW prospect. I doubt Arizona wants to get into that realm.
As far as Barby, he's certainly not untouchable, but the Blues have no use for Fischer, who seems to have forgotten how to hockey and plays a position where STL is well-stocked.</div></div>
I don't disagree with that at all honestly, I think my mind was on the expansion draft and I completely forgot that Faulk and Krug don't have NMC (I thought they did) my bad on that one.

Looking at it now I think it isn't a fair trade but it might be a little realistic.
Dunn doesn't seem to have a lot of good faith in blues management (at least what I've seen as an outsider) and they are already paying quite a bit for the rest of their D-core.
I don't know maybe I don't know enough about the Blues (to make a fair trade as a yotes fan but I think this is the kind of trade they might want to make)
