Sell at TDL to buy in 2020

No i totally agree, but cost control is such a valuable commodity right now too, and i know a lot of people were high on him to bounce back so i dunno

I think a lot of teams would be willing to pay that for Miller

Give Bo a winger

Both Thompson and Danault are defense first centers. I don't see a purpose in acquiring Sutter. I think we should keep the team the same and let it develop within. I don't see this year as a make or break the playoffs for the Canadiens.</div></div>
There are no make or break years, all I am saying is trying to make the playoffs should be the goal. You got a good team, with a HOF goalie and D-man who are getting older, and a surprisingly winnable division (well not win, but 2nd or 3rd certainly attainable). Strike while the iron's hot and all that

Offers for Schaller
It's tough because Schaller can be a useful player, probably more useful than a late pick, so I dont really wanna just send him packing, but at the same time we gotta move someone with guys returning from injuries. But then again, Sutter could just blow out his groin again in game 1. So i think id rather just send Loui to Utica

Hall
Doesn't seem like enough for puljujarvi, and I dont see him getting traded until the summer anyway since the deadline for him to sign and play has passed.

Vancouver Post-Deadline
A 30 year old goalie with an expiring contract is not gonna get a 1st, its just not gonna happen. Also Zucker is really good man, it would take quite a bit more than that.

i may actually be able to tolerate this
I dont think it is unreasonable, But we need the D prospect more than another winger in the middle 6. If he busts its a bummer, but we really dont have enough D in the pipeline to lose one.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsForEver</b></div><div>Wait are you serious?
KK doesn't have to put up points. He started out the season poorly. but right before his injury, his offense was starting to come again.
Suzuki is more dependable in his own zone than he is in the offensive zone. That's what makes him so good. You don't trade a 2nd round pick for an old veteran who will never play anything more than bottom 6. That's terrible asset management</div></div>
You also dont win without those veteran guys (and sutter is only 30, not like has a fossil) who play in the defensive zone. It really comes down to if you honestly believe the canadians can and should try and make the playoffs. If its no, then you wouldnt trade that 2nd for like Taylor Hall if he isnt gonna re-sign, but why wouldnt you try and make your team better today, for the price of a 2nd round pick, when you already have 12 picks in this years draft?
Just curious would you trade a 3rd or a 4th? a 7th? what would be reasonable to you.

And Gaudette isn't exactly ready to go and play a shutdown game against other team's top players if that's even the kind of game he plays, having a center like Sutter is pretty valuable especially in the playoffs.</div></div>
I agree he is useful, but we got Beagle which just sorta makes him redundant. Dont see him bumping gaudette off 3C so then hes probably a 3rd line winger, Id much rather try and turn that into a 2nd line winger, and NJ is gonna blow it up .

Do you though? Granted I dont watch your games, but KK had been struggling as 3C before the injury and Suzuki might be legit but I don't imagine him being a dependable guy in the D zone. You wanna hold your picks, but Price and Weber are gonna keep getting older, and theres spots in the atlantic up for grabs why not try and get someone to help win?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>That’s an easy no from both.
You will have to pay someone to take Sutter. 2nd and an JV does not get KP. 4th does not make up the difference.</div></div>
Theres no way Sutter has negative value. Solid 3rd line centre who can help them keep the puck out of their net. Biggest thing going against him is he is overpaid, but habs have cap space, a ton of picks, and should want to push for the playoffs.
