So here's the breakdown:
Anderson dump = Harris + Calgary's 2025 1st (if we're being generous). Cool! Done.
So basically the Sharks are trading down from 1st overall to 6th for a 2nd and 3rd rounder NEXT year.
Sorry, but that's gonna be a pass.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AStovetop</b></div><div>They had Eklund at center for a decent chunk when Hertl and Couture both went back on LTIR after the all-star break, and Bords started the season at center. I think Bords will likely be a winger from now on, he seems much more natural there. i could see Eklund sliding to center in a year or two (especially when/if Musty and Gushchin push for top 6 LW spots, and if Smith ends up being more of a RW) but as of now he just doesn't look ready for it.</div></div>
Yeah that's a good point they've had a couple goes for sure. Eklund has definitely improved since then as well. Bords does seem like a better winger at this point, but it would be cool to see him with some more talented players as well. Definitely better not to force him into a role he's unprepared for but man the center depth would be helpful.

What happened to Georgiev? I've always liked him and he was an analytical darling when the Avs traded for him but it seems like he's lost his mojo this season.

Looks nice! Would like to see them give Bords and/or Eky a look at Center just to see how their skillsets translate.
All I need is to not see Labanc or Hoffman on the ice and I'm content.

That's why he chose the Jackets. And then he was hurt this year when spots opened up in Columbus again, so he got stuck in Cleveland. At least the Monsters will probably make the playoffs (except that half their team is in Columbus right now).</div></div>
Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah looks like he got a few games in at the end of last season but wasn't super effective. Lol same sitch is true with the Barracuda/Sharks.

Would be cool honestly! Although I'm sure there's a reason why he signed in Columbus as opposed to other places. What do you think his value is?

Would ship out Couture way before Hertl if we're gonna retain 4M anyways.
Also Arizona would have to add like a 1st or a 2nd and a prospect for the Sharks to consider.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>fil97</b></div><div>poj is a very good player. he can't be in pit line up because he is an offensive Dman and we already have EK and KL. but he'd instantly play in a top 4 role imo with the sharks.
plus he still has room for improvement in his game just because of consistency of play.
and also don't add the 5th if you think it's too much, if Dubas wants AD he'll just make it happen.
considering he fleeced the sharks once don't find it hard to believe he can do it again.</div></div>
The idea is that the Sharks are likely gonna want picks and/or young prospects for Duclair. POJ will be at least 27-28 by the time the Sharks are trying to not suck. Just doesn't make a ton of sense. That 2024 2nd, on the other hand, does.
Also nothing against POJ but a ham sandwich would instantly play a top 4 role on SJ's blue line lol.
And make no mistake - in reality Mike Grier will probably trade duclair for a bag of pucks. On capfriendly we (foolishly) like to pretend like Sharks management isn't fresh out of the psych ward.

POJ is almost 25 now with some injury concerns and limited NHL establishment. I don't see the sharks adding for him on top of retaining for Duclair.

I agree with the principle here but if the value is really high (were talking 1st or highly touted procpsect), I'd say trading him is worth it. I like Ferraro but realistically speaking he's a 4th/5th Dman playing 1st pairing minutes.

Objectively thats probably approaching Ferraro's value but the Sharks have no incentive to trade him unless its an overpay.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m not sure there’s a single move which I would call a genuine W.
Sharks are replacing good prospects and/or already good players for rando depth players who are getting ridiculous term and AAV. Lindblom is the only one I was remotely ok with but at the end of they day, they basically swapped Balcers for a more expensive version of himself.
And this fu6king dummy is forcing all our young players out of the lineup with these signings.
Totally baffling stuff.
