Would a couple 2nd round picks better capture Allens value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jeff902</b></div><div>I am curious what you think Allen's worth is to a team in need? 2 X 2nd's too much? You will probably say he has negative value.</div></div>
I think at this point Allen is worth somewhere between a 3rd+ or max a 2nd to a contender closer to the deadline. I dont think Allen is consistent enough to be worth a first.

I mean to be fair Pinto is 6'3 22 years old and has a career high 20 goals which is taller, same age and more goals than newhook who fetched a first, second and c tier prospect

in this, the 2nd is conditional on how many games norris plays for anahiem. it would turn into a first if he misses more than 20 games since he does have injury concerns.

Zibanejad For Brassard 2 point Oh Clean and simple Pinto trade
just wondering why it'll cost so much to dump joseph when he's a 26 year old quick playing 3rd line winger. This seems like a steep price to pay to dump him when imo he has/had more value than then zaitsev and it costed a 2nd and fourth. Im sure the sens can find a trade partner like ARZ, CHI or ANA that could make use of him and not cost us as much.

Dorions Wet Dream
moving brannstrom makes no sense for the sens. they have potential to have a top 5-10 d core in the nhl next season but they need to stay healthy. trading a young offensive defensemen only making 2mil when chychrun and zub have injury prone isnt a smart move. especially when they have a solid top 6 and don't really need Konecny now

Toronto Becomes Cap Compliant and Replenishes Their 2nd Round
I dont hate this tbh, but I also don't think any teams are going to try and give Toronto a lifeline. By no means am I saying Nylander is a cap dump, but if teams know that the leafs are desperate to become cap compliant, I think the return will be a lot less than fans are expecting.

sincerely a biased Sens fan</div></div>
Brady Stu Giroux and Necas Norris Batherson as your top 6 is just as elite and after a necas extension would still be around 2-3 mil cheaper. I honestly love this trade for both sides

Sens win in cap space yes but let’s not act like cat isn’t the better player. hurricanes ran outta juice late in the playoffs and an elite goal scorer like cat would’ve helped.

Since when is someone who scores 13 goals and 18 points in 12 games someone who cant score in the playoffs? Sens would run off with that trade

I love Sanderson and I do think he's an elite defenseman but even as a sens fan there is no way edmonton would do this lol

Realistic Leafs IMO
I think the possibility of Matthews leaving next season is possible, so getting a haul like this would be huge for the leafs considering he could potentially walk for free at the end of the year. Although I dont think this fixes all the leafs problems, it addresses some of the defensive problems and I think Varlamov would be a good addition in nets.

With all of Ottawa's big prospects graduating into the NHL, they are really thin in picks and prospects and I can't see them trading away 2 picks for an 32 year old goalie that's under .900% and over 3.5 gaa

1. Hellebuyck is rumoured to be unhappy with the Jets and doesn’t wanna rebuild so why not trade him for something when he will probably walk and they leave empty handed
2. Meriläinen has a shown he has potential to be a starter in the NHL
3. Goalies don’t typically get big returns

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DevilsInDisguise</b></div><div>Talbot isnt an upgrade over Blackwood (as bad as he has been) both have injury concerns, we can do better elsewhere</div></div>
I agree there is definitely better options elsewhere but the price would be too high in my opinion. Talbot has been better than Blackwood the last 3 years being above .910SV% every year except this one where he is .905 and below 3GAA whereas Blackwood has been above 3GAA the last 3 years and only been above .902 in one of those years. A change of scenery is more than due for Blackwood and now considering he's on the IR, Talbot offers a cheap and reliable solution.
