Edm Van who says No
Not sure if Nurse is the guy though. Juolevi is in the pipeline and I feel they would rather give him a go as opposed to continue to clog up the LD side up more since I feel Edler will come back and play for very cheap since he already squashed a few potential trades that Could've set Vancouver up nice. He owes us one.

Toffoli is a proven scorer in the league, Meshed well with Petey, has more grit than Boeser and has won the cup. What more do you want for someone that will still come in around 4.5 million because of a flat cap.
You have to make big deals to get the right players in the room. With Stecher and Tanev futures uncertain you need someone decent on the Right side to replace one or both.

Calm down! this is all hypothetical. I'm a Nucks fan. But think about it. 3 forwards can replace him. 1 came via TB in Miller and already has. The other 2 are Podkolzin and Hoglander. He is going to soon be the odd man out especially with his cap friendly contract. Teams will be all over it.

If I was Benning I would do this. Severson=Nice affordable RHD with the chance at a top 16 pick all while getting rid of Eriksson too. What's not to like.

Helping Tampa with their cap Foote Bros and Boes to NJ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>zyyyp</b></div><div>man I really don't know how I feel about this from NJ's perspective. getting a first line scoring RW (biggest team need) without giving up a roster player is huge but there is the injury concerns and they could very well get a player better than him with one of those picks if they draft right.</div></div>
It's only one pick they are giving up in this round. The canucks miss the playoffs the 1st rounder canucks pick is next year. so 3 years away or more for that pick to pan out?

Helping Tampa with their cap Foote Bros and Boes to NJ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EzioUchiha</b></div><div>I think the Canucks would want New Jersey's own 1st round pick (7th overall pick) if they were to trade Boeser. (Boeser for Foote and 7OA - then again it's unlikely to happen) Arizona's pick isn't guarantee in the top 15 but we'll see about it on August</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>helping tampa u guys need to help yourselves u got some big contracts coming up
for one tampa wont move foote. He will come way cheaper than stetcher and has a higher ceiling than him. Tampa can just move Johnsson as teams will be in need of a 2c/3c.
Nj rejects that trade as this is a deep draft and they have no need for boeser. Sure he could help but both those 1sts and foote also can</div></div>
Johnson has a NTC as well and I think Gourde is a better sell than him to get someone off the books so they can get Cirelli signed. As far as the Boeser trade the pick would be swapped if the Canucks miss the playoffs anyways so it would just be the Canucks 2021 first going back so instead of that They just traded it back to us in the deal.

This does help a ton Actually. Will have more than enough to sign Petey and Hughes to large deals in 2021.

Carolina fans- would this deal work
I am a Canucks fan and you are completely out to lunch so lets just stop this nonsense. Nyquist is nowhere near the player Miller is. Big physical player that can play all forward positions and he gets in the dirty areas. 6 years younger. North American (Not like that has anything to do with it but still style of play shows) You have provided an absolutely horrible comparison. When the Canucks make the playoffs this year or next it will be an outstanding deal and you will run back here to delete the post.

What Is Stechers Value
Canucks won't do this. Decreased Ice time and being demoted to 3rd pair is because the Canucks have have Myers and Tanev in front of him. This is good for both the Canucks and Stecher

Umm the return for Ghost would've been Virtanen in the beginning when the rumours were running around. I am including a 2nd and Tryamkin to take on that salary of Eriksson. That is plenty for both ends.

Stecher and Sutter to Anaheim
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Yes, that's true (see <a href="/users/GMBB" target="_blank">@GMBB</a> 's <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1419855">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1419855</a>), but assuming that Gaudette and Motte make the team this year and Zack MacEwen comes in at RW, Morand is immediately your best center prospect other than the unsigned Tyler Madden. Or, if you take Shore, he's an upgrade over Sutter right now and off the books after one season.</div></div>
I do not think this trade is necessary. The Canucks do not need to offload a good contract in Stecher just to offload Sutter. Worst case scenario they bury him in the minors after Roussel comes back.

Not sure I catch your drift. How is this team out of the playoffs? They upgraded 3 top 6 wingers (Connor, Miller, Ferlund) added 2 solid pieces on the back end (3 inclusive of Hughes). They were in the hunt for a while last season and fell off late with an average team.

Wonder how Sidney Crosby feels when he sees these guys making much more than him. He has an extra 2 years over Connor that should help dampen the loss of the extra million over those 6 years.

To make money you got to spend money - Offer sheet Connor
I am 100% down to offer sheet him! Might be a bit high but in order to pry someone I could see this happening. Could be similarily on the lines of an AHO where the signing bonus is more than the actual salary. Maybe even at a 2-5 year deal.
