Re-thinking healthy line combos
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GenXHockey</b></div><div>I'm thinking it will be Brodie, Holl benn and Brodie, Lilly, Holl when healthy.
Dubas and Keefe are going to have to be very impressed with benn to move Holl out. Teams are rarely healthy.</div></div>
Well Brodie and Lilly are locks on the right side when healthy. The next best options are Sandin or Gio. This really all depends on how many games Muzzin is in for

Re-thinking healthy line combos
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jaok3</b></div><div>Holl is more valuable than Kerfoot. If any d-man goes down, they have Benn and Mete as the 8 and 9 on the depth chart. Leafs don't want them as 6 and 7. Losing Kerfoot anyway possible gets cap issues resolved and they can sign Sandin and workout the ice-time situation. Sounds like Muzzin will be lucky to play 30 games with back issues already.</div></div>
I disagree. I dont hate Holl as much as others, but Kerfoot is a guy that can play anywhere in the lineup. After losing Mikheyev & Kase, we need to keep depth scoring. Our scoring outside the top 6 isnt that good.

Re-thinking healthy line combos
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GenXHockey</b></div><div>Since Lilly is hurt and Gio can't play the right (although he may be able to handle it in 3rd pair) I can think of one team that wants and needs Holl.</div></div>
Re-thinking <strong>healthy</strong> line combos
Based on cap space, it seems to me it either has to be Sandin or Gio playing on the right side.

Now I know Brown is likely gone, and it sounds like he may be included in the talks to bring Chycurin back, not sure if they can include Zaistev in that deal but would be another huge W for the Sens.
IF they do Chycrin then they can;t do Girox as well, so what is Plan B then. Something via free agency ?</div></div>
Can I interest you in a slightly used Justin Holl...?

I hope so. I would love the Leafs - Sens rivalry to be reignited. Debrincat is a huge W for them

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>stephane_robidas</b></div><div>Yeah, not sure I'd wanna pay him that. Think he could use a year in the A to develop.</div></div>
it would be similar to what carolina did. one year at $4 mil, sign an extension later in the season.

100%. Same with Giroux for the young C. He may even play wing, but having him will help a lot.

sign him to $4mil or under and hes worth a 2nd round pick. They might not be able to match it.

Ya, Marner may struggle with faceoffs since he isnt the strongest guy. Would be good to keep them together for that reason.

It is more important to have strength down the middle vs on the wing

I mean he is still a good player. Having him play lesser competition could be ideal. Spread the talent throughout the lineup. He wont be traded, so make the best of it.

could be the look to start next season
as much as it would kill me to see as a Leaf fan, the Bruins should absolutely go after Kadri. His age doesnt matter since the core is getting older anyways. Make sure he doesnt have a complete NTC so you can move him when needing to re-build.

Very true. Maybe a Bear+ for Kerfoot makes sense. Could be a good fit for both sides.

I think a team would need to overpay to get him, then lower the extension if he doesnt produce. Similar to what the canes did with KK
