I think CHI would probably take Holl for that 2nd. Pleasure doing business.

Shai and Zeev Buium both played RD almost exclusively this year for Denver and had tons of success, despite them both being left shot defensemen. Not necessarily trying to convince you, just some food for thought.

That probably isn't enough to move Husso's contract, but CHI also doesn't currently have a need. We'll see, though. If KD just wants to bringing in some competition that helps them to the cap floor, someone like Husso could make sense. He could be pretty motivated to redeem himself, as well, after such a bad season, which could make things interesting.

Yeah. Usually when people use their actual name for their user name or the name of the ACGM itself, they have no clue what they are doing. Especially when you look at their profile and they just joined yesterday. haha

Not sure if I already said this to you, or if it was another DET fan. But, As for the CHI trade, that probably gets a Fabbri dump done. I think CHI would possibly buy him out anyway. In an exit interview the other day, Kyle Davidson essentially said that "CHI can't finish so low in the standings again, and he intends to make some meaningful roster additions." A big part of CHI's problem this year was having too many injury prone veterans and those injuries piling up all at once. I doubt he has much interest in bringing in the injury prone Fabbri as any sort of serious addition outside of receiving that 2nd round pick. So that should do just fine.

It really can be. And yes, the admins don't do much about it unless you make an obvious and light hearted joke, then they will delete it and give you a warning immediately. There is an ignore function, though, but they need to make it more obvious. I think a lot of people are just jaded and so ready for a fight that they jump into conversations immediately on the defensive/offensive instead of just having a conversation.

Without retention, probably add a 2nd. But TOR doesn't own any 2nd round picks. So probably add a 1st and then CHI adds a late 2nd, a 3rd, or maybe a cap dump. OR you could just add 50% retention and then add a 1st straight up. Retention makes more sense for TOR anyway, especially with the 2nd year on Murphy's contract and Marner needing a new deal after next season.

He has a 15 team "No Trade List". So it isn't entirely up to him. But yeah, i'd be willing to bet CHI is on that list and he has no intention of going into a rebuild.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs_trade_churner_50</b></div><div>I agree. We are very high on Florian. Kovacevic we would be willing to move. But Gignac can play hustle player on the 4th line, and an extra defender in the minors is not terrible. (You can also let Norlidner and Ylonen walk)
I do not see the Habs going higher than a second + Kovacevic for Colton Dach. (ofc any of the aforementioned 3 players we would add to make the trade a tad more enticing.</div></div>
As high as MTL fans are on Florian, CHI should be more so on Dach. Kavacevic isn't interesting or valuable enough, imo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JK74</b></div><div>Gignac and Norlinder would be of zero interest to Chicago and Ylönen is just a guy at this point that'll never crack a legit top six. So essentially the trade is Dach for a 2nd and 5th which seems decent value. Chicago is high on him but he has the same issues his brother has with staying healthy. When he is healthy though he's a very effective power forward. I don't hate this trade minus the three players headed Chicago's way but I think they decline in hopes that Dach can stay healthy.</div></div>
I had pretty similar thoughts. I think if OP takes out all three players and adds Florian Xhekaj, I would be happy with the offer.

Vlasic is getting at least three times that amount, and more than likely with term. He will be CHI's top pairing LD for many years to come, unless of course Korch or another prospect takes some HUGE steps and passes him up, which I don't see happening. Even then, he will be a very solid 2nd pairing guy. Also, Samuelsson is looking like a bad-ish contract for BUF. Not that he is awful or anything, but they might have prematurely signed him for too much money and term.
I could definitely see scenarios where they move on from Allan, Athanasiou, and/or most of our picks, as I could for most players on CHI's current roster, but not to add an LD. That would be a pointless move.
Reinhart will more than likely get more money this summer, and probably isn't looking to join a rebuild at this point in his career. I highly doubt Kane will be back in CHI. I don't mind the Montour signing, though. I think he would be an interesting partner for Korchinski.

lol. Is your sole purpose on this website to propose awful trades involving CHI? Because you seem to do it an incessant amount. I wouldn't even give up Anderson alone for Georgiev, let alone adding two of our top 15 prospects on top of it. If CHI decides to give up on Soderblom, which I personally believe would be premature, I could maybe see them having some interest in Georgiev, but they aren't paying much, if anything, for him.

Finally in the playoff
According to a lot of MTL fans, MTL has no need to create cap space. But, even if they do end up having a need to dump cap, for one reason or another, dumping Anderson is gonna cost way more than another expensive aging player with term who is an LD, which is a position CHI DOES NOT need. If anything, we need a big physical defense first Right shot dman.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JoeROFLCOPTER</b></div><div>What do you think eating 2M for a year'll cost?</div></div>
Closer to $2.5M, but, probably something in the realm of a 3rd, maybe slightly more, with nothing going back to DET. I think CHI would prefer to package their own picks together, in combination with taking on cap, to increase the value they are receiving, as well.
The thing is, CHI's GM just announced yesterday in an exit interview/presser that they want to make improvements and that they don't feel they can have a repeat of this season, being at the bottom of the standings. Some of that is certainly lip service and we shouldn't expect too much improvement. Also, players have to WANT to sign with CHI, which is probably a tough sell right now. A lot of CHI's failures this season can be attributed to the mountain of injuries they sustained, but I doubt they are looking to add more cap dumps or injury prone players, they likely want to add more leadership and skill. Also, i'd be willing to bet CHI is on his "No Trade List".
A lot of teams have been stubborn the last couple of years not wanting to pay the price for their mistakes, and they likely missed their window to dump their problems on CHI. CHI presented themselves as an option and every team passed and colluded in attempts to drive down the cost of moving cap. So, there will probably be other teams with cap space that are willing to help teams out for a price, i guess, but it's unlikely to be CHI anymore, unless they are receiving something that is a big need and/or is too good to pass up. Maybe working something out around a desirable prospect could work. CHI should be in the market for high end forwards and RD.

I disagree. But to each their own. That isn't enough to move Anderson's contract and MTL doesn't really have a need to pay what it would take.

Seeing as Kyle Davidson plans on making some meaningful transactions this summer, I think that makes it a lot more likely that we see guys like Slaggert, Kaiser, and maybe even Nazar and Korchinski, seeing significant time in the AHL. Whatever happens with them, I don't think any of them will have a roster spot handed to them. There will likely be competition. This definitely addresses some of that, but there might be even more, honestly. Probably not any super high profile FA's, but guys that will give young players a run for their money. I like the idea of Marchessault, and Chatfield a lot. I wouldn't mind bringing Domi back to CHI, too.
Regardless, good job! I'm excited for what they are going to do this summer, now, but I'm also a little worried that KD is feeling too much pressure way too soon. But maybe some of it is just lip service, and honestly, CHI wouldn't have been quite as bad this year if it wasn't for the mountain of injuries they had. We'll see, though. Gonna be an interesting summer and season.
