He did, for those that watch the Ducks Z has been our most effective player. The team is night and day when he's in the line up vs out.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>That's one of the worst trade proposals I've ever seen.

I'd trade our first easily for Brady if it wasn't 1st oa. I'd prefer to keep Z anyway.

Getting Under The Cap
Can't see the Ducks ging up Zell for the privilege of paying Nylander 10 mill. The first would probably be protected as its suicide to give up an unprotected first until your firmly in the playoff picture. Rico does make some sense but if he continue to threaten for 30 goals he should be able to get a first at the TDL. If he comes with an extension I could see it potentially with the first and Rico being involved. The top prospects would be no. Starters.

Thanks. You may be right about Soucy. Ideally we can get someone similar if not him. A solid Defensive D who plays LD and can PK to play with Drysdale. Another guy I thought of was Ian Cole.

fair enough, the 10th OA and Zellwiger are pretty much our most valuable assets outside of Z/T/D/M. Im a big believe in MC but I understand not wanting to take that risk.

I admittedly am not super familiar with Sandin but my understanding is he is an offensive d man. Something the Ducks really do not need. He was what was offered on HF. Hague is a year older, 7 inches taller and like 50 lbs heavier which fits the Ducks needs more. Perfectly open to swapping Sandin out for something else, maybe a Second rounder?

I mean you're dropping 5 spots in the draft and trading a late first and Lacombe for Miller who had 99 pts. You don't do this unless you want to resign him for sure.

Who do you think you would target in a Miller trade? This does get you a good Prospect and an extra first while moving your first up 5 spots. I just dont think we have a RSD for you.

No to Helleson, we need the RS depth. We have a lot more LS which is why I added Lacombe. Could potentially offer Andersson instead.

The way I have started to look at a potential Eichel trade is value based on what the remainder of his contract would be in an offer sheet. So 2x 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd. For me conditional 22 1st, Perrault, Lundestrom and Rico.

IMO, I kind of expect the trade to be valued around what an OS would look like for his remaining 5 years. So 2 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd.

Looks about right. Id swap Raks and Terry though. Terry had Chemistry with Rico and Raks had it with MC. If we suck again it also gives Raks the likeliest chance if increasing his value playing with Zegras.

oilers goals
Sorry but none of those pieces are what the Ducks would be looking for in a Rakell trade, especially as a main piece. We don't want anything to do with Kassian at that price and term. We have better center prospects than McLeod. The second is the most attractive piece and that doesn't move the needle for the Ducks IMO.

Upgrade forward depth
Fun fact. If Rakell had a league average shooting %, hand is career is above that, he would have roughly 4 more goals. That would put him at 15 pts in 22 games which is only 4 less then Nylander at 19 im 23 games. That's without playing with guys like Mathews, Tavares and Marner. Your offer adds nothing to the Ducks at all. None of those pieces get the conversation started. Especially at 50% retained. You're asking for a player in similar current quality to Nylander at 1/4the the cap cost for a year and a half and the best asset you can give is a second?
Short answer: Ducks don't even consider it.

Pending Trade -- Ducks Fans What Do You Think
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>I guess that the thinking on our side would be we have an excess of LWs, we need help at RW, and Virtanen will be cheaper than Heinen. I could live with it, but there's an air of "shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic" reminiscent of the Milano-for-Sprong trade all too noticeable here.
For Christ's sake, we just lost the guy we all thought would be our #2C for a few years and our #1C is due to retire or re-up for a one-year deal. We're going into 2021-2022 with the very real possibility that our #1C will be a rookie. Isn't anybody worried about that?</div></div>
Id rather tey Terry with Rico at center then trying to force him with Getzlaf before swapping Heinen for A RW lesser version of what we gave up for Heinen in the first place.

This is probably what they should do but it will depend on how Dubois affects the team. Duchene destroyed the Avs until he was traded.

I'd prefer to keep Steel as he is one of the few players showing improvement so far this year. I'd build a deal around Rico who actually plays as a top 6 center. Our first likely has to be involved for a former 3rd OA pick in Dubois.
