You're trading a player that you aren't using for picks and another player you wont use, but if you do, is basically the same player. Easy trade to accept for Buffalo...

no i agree they should be paid what they deserve, and i agree he deserves it. I just see it going lower than that for some reason

Yup, sign me right up for brown and soucy. Happy to not see zemgus and okposo here as well
Genuinely don't think Cozens gets that much though...just a feeling he takes like 5.75 or something team friendly

TDL - One Move
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A2023tdlGuesses</b></div><div>Berglund had a no trade, but paperwork error gave gm doug Armstrong a TINY window to move him, and he did, with Sobotka, a 1st, and Tage (iirc) for ory.
Berglund was so distraught he quit playing hockey. He literally just quit. There is no other 2nd/3rd line nhl center I’ve ever heard of who just quit.
This is was a bad choice by Doug Armstrong. It may have won his team the cup in Orielly earning a conn smythe, but he did the wrong thing.
Rich ppl (I’m implying owners) don’t forget this.
That being said, Berglund prob got too comfy. But still. Buf was sold bad goods.
Nobody, you, me, them, goes back to a vendor who sold them bad goods. There’s other vendors for things. We specifically do not get burned twice. We touch the fire and then stop touching it.
This is a life lesson for everybody. If you sell bad goods, you may win, but you will ultimately be burned. Doug Armstrong will eventually be fired, not because he’s bad, but because there are only 31 partners, and he set one on fire. Nobody else is blind. They do not want to be sold bad **** either.</div></div>
Okay this isn't Walmart man...GMs go back to the same trade partners over and over again. One weird situation isnt going to sour them for the rest of existence. If they have what you want and are willing to play ball, play ball.
Don't be silly lol

Buffalo should avoid moving Savoie for really anything right now
Murphy trade is fine, would prefer someone else though
CAR and TOR trades are both a no from both sides probably

Sabre fans do think these trades would work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bostonbruins</b></div><div>Let's agree to disagree.
Asplund has played well enough, Peterka, Quinn and Jost pushed him out of the line up, just as Hinostroza was pushed to the AHL.
Jokiharju is just fine and may be the reason Power is doing well.
Adding Schenn over Mittelstadt is enough, the second is pure gravy.</div></div>
Power is doing well because he's good all by himself, he pulled Clague out from the ashes for christ sake. Joki is lost in his own end and Asplund isnt a 3rd liner if you want to be taken seriously. just not a good take

OK think of the trade as Mittelstadt for Schenn, Asplund and a second.
Rasmus takes Casey's spot in the line up and Buffalo upgrades the RHD.
Buffalo does not need to score more goals, it needs to stop them.
Casey and Bryson have the teams worse +/-, this replaces their collective -28 with a collective +7 while ONLY losing 4 goals season to date.
That sounds like making the team a whole lot better!</div></div>
I stopped reading after "asplund takes casey's spot" Asplund has looked pretty bad this season when he's been in the lineup and has little to no points at all. Jost and Olofsson are good enough defensively to make up for Casey. They should focus on moving out Jokiharju and Bryson for defenseman that have a single clue in their own end

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bostonbruins</b></div><div>Well considering how many Sabre fans were trading Casey for a bag of pucks this trade looked good.
Buffalo adds a RHD, improves its forwards defense by inserting Asplund and adds a future second round pick.
Over all the Sabres reduce the goals against this year, cut their cap and add trade capital for next year with the second.</div></div>
Problem with that theory is now Casey seems to be finally putting it together, and his line is cooking...no longer a useless asset

IMO if youre going to keep jost at Center, just move casey in the trade. You'd have to add, but makes more sense to me
