They apparently are ok adding Jeff Petry though. Maybe that Yzerplan is an Yzerproblem?

Understandable but I’m just trying to look for guys who I think would be fine playing in Winnipeg and Schenn sounds like one.

Risky Trades That Might Just Work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jpetes250</b></div><div>If I care about goals and not age, I'm getting Scheifele over Nelson. Not to mention in that trade I'm giving up my young top 6 25+ goal scorer and my FRANCHISE defensemen.
Dobson and Boqvist interest me, that's it. Sillinger is fine but like I said, he's not a 2C. Boston also has better goaltender prospects than Tarasov.</div></div>
Dobson is already a legitimate 1 RHD and he’s two years younger than Charlie. How does that only “interest” you? And I can tell you that the Jets and Bruins aren’t great trading partners for Scheifele, who I’m at least had convinced could resign with the Jets.

Risky Trades That Might Just Work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jpetes250</b></div><div>The main pieces are Nelson(old), Palmieri(old) and Dobson. Dobson is the only piece of interest. Nelson is 31 or 32 and has had a couple great seasons but is historically a 45-55 point player.
Sillinger is young but doesn't look like a definite 2C.
Overall, I would rather have JDB, McAvoy and Ullmark this year and see what happens.</div></div>
Dobson is 23. Boqvist is 23. Sillinger is 20. Tarasov is 24. Nelson just scored 36 goals so I don’t really care about his age. Ullmark is a luxury that they can no longer afford. You can’t win without centres.

Him and Dobson on a PP would be lethal.

In a tight market like this where almost everyone is up against the cap he’s simply not going to fetch much.

Then he leaves as a UFA. Unlike Scheifele who looks to have some interest in resigning here he hasn’t shown any interest.

Fair point but how often does a team with one of the elites also have enough depth to win a cup? The only other team with an elite goalie who could say they’re good enough were the Rangers but if Laf and Kaapo don’t take some serious steps forward they also will be just a pretender.

Also (again assuming Georgiev is playing well), I think Colorado will be more focused on other needs if making a tdl acquisition (top 6 forward and/or upgrade over Johnson at D).</div></div>
I looked at this from your angle and just put out an ACGM to show how I think you’d have the best team in the league. Girard has to go though.

You wouldn’t want to rent one of the best goalies in the league for a cup run? I didn’t invoke Georgiev in the trade.

Why would Chicago give them anyone unless their 1st rounder is attached to Granlund? Chicago isn’t going to just give them a couple cheap contracts for the pleasure of taking on Granlund.

Nothing political about Cancer awareness, pride, Indigenous history, black history, etc is inherently political. Plus, these nights are still happening, they just aren't platforming the jerseys which is a huge shame. The unique practice designs were always really fun and gave artists the opportunity to have their work honored.
Not really sure why the change was made in this way. It's certainly not as big of a deal as many people are making it out to be, it just kinda stinks</div></div>
Hockey is not responsible for solving the world’s problems and even more importantly it should not be on players to wear sweaters at any time that make statements of any kind. It’s a job and they’re representing whichever team they’re on. They aren’t there to make statements.

I’d love to see him finally land in Montreal and then still end up tanking their locker room too.
There are some people in this world that are just miserable wherever they go, and whatever they do.</div></div>
Dubois and Laine are both drama queens.
