He wouldn’t have to waive. His NMC turns to a 15 team no trade this offseason. They can trade him without his permission to 15 teams.

Trouba has 15 team NTC. His wife wants to be in NYC so I’m sure Philly would be one of the teams not names due to their proximity.

Anaheim and Buffalo are done. Don’t listen to Anaheim fans who think we need to give up Tyson or Michkov for Zegras they are delusional. Foerster is up there in stats with Bedard this year and even tho he won’t be nearly as good as Bedard he’s still way more valuable than people give him credit for</div></div>
I agree with Anderson but I think Trouba would make a great veteran partner for York and with only two years left on the contract I think he is worth it. ESP with NYR probably needing to treat him like a cap dump

Size and the ability to skate 20 minutes a night helps too, would be a good 2nd line defensive D for one of our youngsters.
Yeah, he's overpaid for what he brings, but that's not an issue in Anaheim for the duration of his contract.
I dunno, Boston 2nd and a B prospect, maybe Helleson to resupply RHD. Certainly not what you paid for him, but you also paid for a top pairing all around D, and paid him as such contract wise, and he's a 2nd line guy with minimal offense left.</div></div>
Agreed. I’d take that.

For a team severely lacking offensive skill, Kane is exactly what they need. He has been very good this year on both sides of the puck.

Boston : Lysell, Lohrei, 2024 first

I would 100% do that Buffalo deal. Idk if Buffalo would without an extension though

I think Ottawa would be a good trade partner for a TK trade too. I would ask for Chychrun and Grieg idk if that’s realistic though.

Philly needs to get a future top of the lineup C in the organization (and probably more of a priority than a LD) and I’d love to see Mitchkov and Savoie together in a couple of years.</div></div>
I would also probably be on board with this

Would Flyers 1st assuming it’s around ~15 OA ~ and Noah Cates get the job done? Or Bobby Brink, Noah Cates, and a pick? Brink and Cates are both Minnesota boys.

You want to trade Risto for Pennie’s to get rid of his cap hit but then sign Zadorov to a comparable deal??
No way Seguin waives his NMC to come here and if he did no way Flyers should want to pay that cap hit for 3 more seasons.
26 mil the following year to resign TK, Frost, Foerster, Chychrun, and York?? Welcome to cap hell.

Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>Schmidt is bad and a waste of 5.9mil, especially as Ellis is on LTIR
That defense just is poor. Drysdale on RD3? Belpedio? Investing almost 11mil in Schmidt and Walker?
Jarnkrot? Zegras isnt a C, hes more of a LW. Youre going to play 3rd/4th line muckers Jarnkrot/Joseph/DiGiuseppe/Lycksell over any number of younger better guys?
Yopu've made alot of moves to move up in draft and then turn around and trade 3 1sts, a 2nd rights to Zavagrin and 3 players for Zegras? Thats a laughably OVER offer.
No Andrae, Tuomaala, Attard, but Belpedio, and a bunch of muckers?
Not buying out Johansen and Petersen and wasting almost 7mil in cap by keeping them in minors?
Just not sure what youre doing, trading alot of fairly young assets and picks for middling players and then going all in on Zegras? Seems like a lot of muck and downgradesd across the entire team just to get your hands on Zegras. If Zegras at 5.7mil for 2 yrs is worth that package he must be MacDavid.</div></div>
Schmidt can be 50% retained and flipped at the deadline for assets. If Andrae shows he is ready he can come up then.
Jankrok is a cap dump to help inflate Laughtons price. And that D core is the same we had this year minus Zamula and Staal for Schmidt and Belpedio. Di Guiseppe and Lycksell are 13th and 14th forwards. You really want to call up younger players to ride the bench??
Zegras Center stats in his first two seasons put him in elite company. Only a handful of centers, which is what he played his first two years, have put up two 60 pt U22 seasons, and they all turned out to be elite. Zegras trade is a lot of assets. None of them are Top 10 picks though.
Why would you buy out Peterson and waste cap space the following year when you don’t need the space this year and you could bury him in the minors? We already will have enough dead cap in Hayes, Atkinson, and possibly Johansen. Do you want to end up in Minnesotas cap situation? Seems like a smart strategy.

My evaluation of Samuelsson is- big body, not particularly physical, I've heard him called "the cobra" because of his long reach and poke checking, looks to pass on zone exits, average skater so he doesn't carry, more defensively inclined. He was a perfect partner to let dahlin do his thing, but the magic went away. I would prefer...sigh...again...a physical right shot top 4 defensive d, if that's available for Samuelsson (plus depending on value), I'm in. Otherwise, trading him for a second would be a hard no.</div></div>
So what your asking for in return is Risto?
