No thanks for Trouba and Anderson contract, don’t like the long term outlook of that. The goal is to get better long term not short term. Both Cal and Ryan are done after next year contract wise.
Anaheim and Buffalo are done. Don’t listen to Anaheim fans who think we need to give up Tyson or Michkov for Zegras they are delusional. Foerster is up there in stats with Bedard this year and even tho he won’t be nearly as good as Bedard he’s still way more valuable than people give him credit for

Flyers offseason outs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>Why? What do you find interesting about him in Anaheim.</div></div>
His defensive game has improved markably in Philly, it went from a weakness to a strength, at least in the advanced stats category.
Size and the ability to skate 20 minutes a night helps too, would be a good 2nd line defensive D for one of our youngsters.
Yeah, he's overpaid for what he brings, but that's not an issue in Anaheim for the duration of his contract.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Grebby14</b></div><div>What would Anaheim be willing to give up?</div></div>
I dunno, Boston 2nd and a B prospect, maybe Helleson to resupply RHD. Certainly not what you paid for him, but you also paid for a top pairing all around D, and paid him as such contract wise, and he's a 2nd line guy with minimal offense left.

Sabres wouldn't do that trade, giving up to much control for what could be one year of Konecny

Greig and Pinto are two players we don't want to trade, no mather what.
But surely we can work with Chychrun as the base for the deal

Ottawa is interested
As LD we have Brannstrom, Kleven, Hamara or in last case Chychrun
Forwards we have Ostapchuk, Crookshank or Norris (more valuable than the previous two)
Boston's 1st may also be available

I’m not necessarily on board with moving TK…I think we’ll just be looking to replace him for a similar player in a couple of years and it will end up costing more between contract and trade assets….but I would consider this deal. Philly needs to get a future top of the lineup C in the organization (and probably more of a priority than a LD) and I’d love to see Mitchkov and Savoie together in a couple of years.

Don't do what Bergevin did... Pay him for the player he was rather than the player he is and will be.

I love Konecny, but I'm also scared his next contract makes him Brendan Gallagher 2.0. He plays with such an edge and how long can his body keep up?

For me, that wouldn't quite get it done, but I really don't know what Guerin is looking for. I'm sort of wondering if he packages Rossi+ for something larger.

It's possible MN shops Rossi this summer. Not a 1C yet, but he does have the potential and I actually think Torts would like him.
Would take more than Cates or Risto, though, of course.

Zegras is one that could possibly be available, but the fit with Torts is questionable.
Lundell also comes to mind, but I don't think Florida will trade him.
There are rarely young potential 1C player on the trade market. That's why I think it's actually bad for them long-term to be playing this good because there are rarely any young 1C potential players on the trade market and you'd have to be really lucky to get one by drafting in the 14-18 range.

expendable assets only
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johum7</b></div><div>york-sanheim/seeler-drysdale/zamula-attard/ginning-andrae, is what i think the ideal scenario is for next year
the trade certainly is a net positive for the flyers in terms of value but chychrun is similar to sanheim and york in that he is a fringe 2D/good 3D. no need to add him when sanheim is signed long-term and york & chychrun are both due extensions. if york wanted out? then yea move him for chychrun, but i wouldn't want all 3 of them on the roster when the other 6 should be getting minutes as well</div></div>
im not a flyers fan so I cant really attest to it, but would seeler not be more ideally suited for a third-pair role on a playoff team? Like he has performed incredibly well in his deployments this year to the point where I totally get why he could play second pair, but would it not be more beneficial to upgrade from zamula to chychrun then just slide the depth down with regards to building a competitive roster? And as much as i think york has a lot of potential as a top 4 defender, i thought getting insulation for that top pair LD role might allow him to really blossom

Avs fans how far off is this
Straight value isn’t bad, but probably not the right use of assets for Colorado. They’re already strong down the wing, but need help at center (better than Laughton). Plus Konecny’s deal expires at the same time as Rantanen, Georgiev, and Byram. They can’t afford to keep all those guys and address 2C.

Yeah Oilers are gonna have to pass on that one, Holland won't use a first on a player with a expiring contract, not saying he is not worth a 1st but just don't think the oilers are willing to pay that much for him

Ottawa delines.
Sens aren't trading for yet another goalie without first fixing their defensive issues. Hard to evaluate the current goalies whem the team in front of them doesn't give them a chance in hell.
I also doubt that the front office wants to part with either of Greig or Pinto. Both are highly valued.

What are trade targets or FA signings to fit timeline of this team
Zegras and Lundell are my very clear top-2 targets for trades, followed shortly behind by Mittelstadt. I don't think a lot of these guys would even be available necessarily, but some other players I'd be willing to throw out somewhere between a big and massive offer for would be Necas, Thomas, Wright, Lambert, Mercer, K.Johnson. Main point being: they need a U25 Center with clear top-6 potential.
Outside of that, not much at all in terms of roster players. Maybe if a big winger on a decent contract is available you kick the tires on him, Hanafin is an interesting option as a long term partner for Drysdale but that's about it on D.
For the draft, some guys I like who I think could be available in the 20-50 range (where we will have a few picks): Artamonov, Shuravin, Chernyshov (can you tell I like the Russians lmao), Greentree, Hutson, Kiviharju, Mews and Jiricek. The one other thing I'll say about the draft is this: Demidov is going to fall <em>way</em> harder than people might think come draft day, when he's inevitably there in that 11-15 range Briere should do everything in his power to move up and grab him. A decade + of Demidov + Michkov would be the most talent this team has had on a line since the Legion of Doom
