<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ngikas</b></div><div>For me personally I think Krug is too much of a liability. He’s great offensively and unbelievable on the PP but behind the red line it’s scary. And as for Cehlárik who I do like and would like to keep is just a kicker in the deal. I also can’t see him really ever breaking this lineup bearing injury with all the young talent we have. Klefbom whose under contract for 5 years while potentially becoming a top pair dman at that price? Yes please. And even if he’s a 2nd pair dman very reasonable contract. But that’s my opinion on this whole Krug for Klefbom idea</div></div>
I can agree that Klefbom's contract is extremely valuable and I completely agree that Cehlarik probably won't be on the team long term but, I really think people undervalue how important to the team Krug is. He is clearly better than Klefbom and although he isn't the best defensively his offense completely outweighs his defensive woes. Brent Burns is another good comparison to Krug (besides size and physicality) terrible defenseman but his offense makes him invaluable.

EDM-BOS talking. Maybe?
Yeah Riley shouldn't get paid like that by anybody let alone the Bruins. They probably will let him walk and I'd rather have Krug than Klefbom honestly. Bruins don't have any defenseman that can provide the offense krug does in their system besides maybe McAvoy but he's not ready for that yet.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shibbal18</b></div><div>I think Lehner is extremely misunderstood. But I probably relate because I have a similar personality. He wanted more out of his teammates and he knows how talented they are. So when he’s in net watching players take shifts off while he’s standing on his head that anger builds. I can’t blame him for his stats, he really kept this team in games they had no business being in. His fire is something I want in a playoff run, and he will call someone out for being lazy.</div></div>
I had no clue how good Ullmark looks like he can be but I completely agree with you that Lehner is misunderstood. His stats sucked but so did his team this past year. The year before he had a fantastic for a bottom team in the league .920 save percentage. Why flip him for washed up Howard when you can just run a platoon of Ullmark and Lehner and see who can take over the starting position? They're both young talented goalies

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BreKel</b></div><div>I'm not a fan of this. You're giving away Heinen. That is some brutal value for a 22 year old, that just put up 47 points. You acquired Silfverberg, who Heinen just outscored this past season. I don't really understand Silfverberg here. He's pretty much a 40 point guy. He had a good year where he put up 49 points, but other than that? Why not just go with Heinen and use those players you dealt for Silfverberg either in a deal for a bigger fish at a more important position. He's a UFA at the end of the season. I also like Lauzon, so I wouldn't move him for a winger, at least not a Silfverberg type.</div></div>
Agree, not a fan of this at all. There's no need for Silferberg the Bruins have plenty of forwards that can slide into the 2nd line rw spot and why would you not just keep Heinen and play him at third line center as we know he can play all three forward positions. Makes no sense to flip him for a 5th and a 2nd and replace his spot with good but currently inferior players like silferberg and jfk

Lets go B's
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tommyhavoc</b></div><div>a guy like Nino would be dynamite on the wing with Debrusk and with Minny's new GM coming in he's going to want to put his own stamp on the team. Krejci can go and be a leader up in Minny. In my mind, the B's biggest issue is finding a 2nd line right winger, and to find some sort of upgrade at 2nd line centre as well. . Regarding Grabner, he completely disappeared for the Devils in the playoffs, so his cost as a UFA should not be as crazy as it could be.</div></div>
Left handed defenseman is definitely the bruins biggest issue, they have plenty of forwards they can slot into the second line. The second line next year will probably be Debrusk - Krecji - Donato which I would definitely prefer to Debrusk - Donato - Grabner. I get that Krecji has a huge cap hit and it's arguably too big for the caliber player he has been as of late but your second line is a huge downgrade to the idea of just bringing back what we had last year plus Donato. I also would have no interest in swapping Krejci and Heinen for the inferior Coyle and Niederreiter while also giving up a 2nd and a 6th in return for a 3rd rounder. If they were to keep their current core they would have Heinen, Backes (who probably should get bought out), Bjork, etc. to fill in the wing spot if Donato doesn't fit and they have a few centers in the pipeline that could slide into that third line center role if we let Riley Nash go ie. Frederics, JFK, or maybe even just Heinen. The young gun forwards will be getting better and the offense will be fine. The defense on the other hand could be greatly improved by swapping one of our smaller player (imo it should be grz) for someone like Hanifin. We have plenty of prospects to work with and we won't be trading more talent for less talent like your Krejci trade does.

I don't really know a whole lot about the Buffalo goaltending situation but I really don't think trading Lehner for Jimmy Howard will fix any of their problems. Jimmy Howard is way past his prime and is already 34 and although Lehner hasn't been consistent I really think he is the better goalie not to mention the fact that he is much younger, almost 10 years younger than Howard. I completely agree that the team should hold onto ROR though

I don't think you understand, Carlson is a ufa and can walk regardless. He either signs with the capitals and stays or gets paid in free agency. This trade will not and could not happen. MacLellan can't trade Carlson for anything of value

How I project the Bruins 2 years from now
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nalzugaray12</b></div><div>By the way, I seriously don't think any NHL team (besides maybe Arizona/Carolina) will take on that Krejci contract, especially because of his declining game. He actually had a pretty great season especially considering he was playing with rookies most of the year (He has 17 goals and 44 points in only 64 games). He's definitely declining but, I don't see him as a third line center in a couple of years at all unless injuries derail what's left of his career which is entirely possible considering his injury history. Only problem is his cap hit is too high to resign our young guns and keep him under contract.

I think you're mostly correct but I do think the Bruins will probably trade for a top 4 lefty d-man and might try to find a way to ditch Krejci's cap hit of 7,250,000 because they'll need the money for the young guns

Krug is definitely a top 4-dman but I just feel like sliding him to the third pair will make it easier to hide his defensive issues and it will bring Carlo and Chara back together as a shutdown d-pair. Just because he's playing as a "top 6 d-man" doesn't mean he and miller won't get similar minutes compared to chara and carlo.

I don't want anything to do with a top six forward right now. If I'm the Bruins I'm gonna let the young guns play and see what they can turn into. Debrusk looks fantastic and they've got plenty more young wingers in the system.

I agree with ON3M4N that Duchene, Pasta and Krejci would probably end up being the 2nd/1st line combo and then throw bjork or debrusk on the Bergeron Marchand line and the other one gets third line time with Backes and Vatrano. I personally don't think JFK will be ready for the NHL next year and that he'll need some seasoning. I'm fine trading spooner, beleskey, the first and Lauzon but I don't think we'd need to throw in the second (tho i'd be okay if it would get us Duchene) and I'd prefer to hold onto Zboril. I think he has top 4 dman written all over him and he'd be a great compliment to McAvoy or Carlo once they've entered their prime

I really like your second line of Bjork-Krejci-Pasta but, I don't think that Backes will be riding the first line Right Wing. Personally I'd like to seem him play at 3rd line center and get 2nd pairing pk and pp time. In my opinion Nash should remain a 4th liner with some special teams time. I also don't like seeing Krug on the third d-pair. He's too good to limit his minutes like that and I really think the bruins should be rocking a Krug-Carlo, Chara-McAvoy, Mller-McQuaid defensive lineup, or maybe if Carlo isn't doing well with Krug as his partner then a Chara-Carlo, Krug-McQuaid and Killer-McAvoy lineup.

If you think Gallagher for Huberdeau is a fair trade then you're on drugs. Also Price (28 Y.O.), Markov (37 Y.O.) and Emelin (29 Y.O.) for Bobrovsky (27 Y.O.), Jones (21 Y.O.) and Murray (22 Y.O.). Crazy. Larsson for Petry! Eller and Andrighetto for Yakupov is questionable and the Subban trades pretty crazy as well.
