There is no hurry for them.</div></div>
That’s such a outdated excuse. Didn’t you watched the recent video NYR posted about Shesterkin? He’s a full blooded pro who didn’t needed these adjustments, he stepped in immediately and became AHL goalkeeper of October and is one of the leagues best goalkeeper currently

Trade ASAP COL CAR
I dont think Carolina is that worried about their goaltending that they will give up a first for a goalie who is very promising but still unproven over a full season. Fast is nice too, but firsts shouldn't be thrown around that easily.
I could see the Av's being in on Krieder or Strome nearer the deadline at what they feel is the right price, but no need to panic now, they are still playing well.

Yessir. There's also Reunanen on the right side. NYR have plenty of defensemen on the pipeline that they could use in packages for better assets or needs.

Hope you're right....but I wouldn't count on Krav until he is here...Strome can play C and wing...Zibs does have a knack of fighting the injury bug every year....so having someone on the roster that can slot up for him is a plus. Going forward with everyone in the line up he probably slots as 3RW....as long as he is willing to accept a contract as such then hold him- if he keeps piling up the points, though, he will certainly look for top 6 money-and he has arb rights next year....if that's the case- get what you can for him at TDL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gregpapas411</b></div><div>regardless of what many ranger fans say about Strome, the guy is a good player. i wouldn't mind resigning him depending what his asking price it. Strome would be a good fit on any team, he is solid on the pk, plays a 200 foot game and with the rite line mates he can put some points up. van would like him, and for a 2nd round pick they would be happy with him.</div></div>
He's a good middle 6 guy, but IMO if you can turn Ryan Spooner (by extension) into a 2nd you do it.

My lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jimbo1119</b></div><div>Rangers need to get Smith off the 4th line and Strome off 2C....you’re halfway there!</div></div>
Disagree on this-- Smith on the 4th line is fine, he's done an admiral job on the fore check and looks like he's gained a step since joining the rangers. Plus, he is doing pretty well on the PK logging over apprx 7 pk minutes and only being on for one goal (a deflection that couldn't really be helped). He hasn't registered a giveaway in two games AND has two PK points so that's a plus. Once Hajek is ready to take over some PK time, yes he should be scratched... but Hajek is still gaining his footing in the NHL, it'll be better to let him develop a bit more before putting him in that position.

opening night lineup
Mind you I'm not a huge Strome fan myself, but shipping him out at this point would be foolish based upon the uncertainty that Chytil can be this teams 2nd line center on a regular basis. Take a look at Buffalo and how that worked with Casey M being forced into a 2nd line center role he clearly wasn't ready for.
I don't think this teams 2nd line center is on this team yet. I like Chytil but I think he may be a top6-top9 wing at best.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mvp13</b></div><div>Rangers don't want Manning. Give us picks/non roster players and will gladly give you Namestikov.</div></div>
Like I said in my description, Manning is essentially a non-roster player, he is put in the AHL for a 1mil cap hit. If you’d rather I’d do nam at 2 mil retained for the 3rd instead, same difference money wise its just this trade I proposed includes an exchange of contracts to even out the 50 man roster aspect.

Laine
From a NYR perspective - I want nothing to do with Laine right now. One dimensional game and drastic contract demands. A sniper would help the cause but I’d rather trade Kreider for a prospect or 1st round pick to fill a top 6 forward position going forward and if we need a goal scorer, Mike Hoffman will be available next year. Selling “low” on Howden isn’t ideal and DeAngelo could be a valuable trade chip when Keane or Lundkvist are ready in a couple years. No sense trying to push the rebuild any quicker when 3/4 of the team is still so young and Marc Staal is still stinking up the defense.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gregpapas411</b></div><div>IMHO, signing deangelo to a 5 year contract at over 4 mill a season would be a huge mistake. he played 20 solid games last season. what does he really pan out to be? a 5-6 dman for the team? with trouba, fox, keane, lundkvist and others coming on the right side. locking deangelo up to a contract would be a bad idea. lets get a full season out of him before we decide if he is worth anything.</div></div>
When a guys already been traded 3 time at 23 years old there must be something with the guys. Rangers must keep him on short term
