Realistic Cychrun Trade
shaeffer Is at least 2 yrs away, did you watch the young stars tournament he was a step behind especially his first two strides and his edge needs some serious work, he’s a first round project, the time he’s ready for the show Foegele contract will be over.
Any trade for Chychrun starts with Broberg, Lavoie is a bust the only team that might be interested in him is the Habs as he’s French.

A change of scenery won’t help the guys biggest issue is he’s hurt 50% of the time in a flat cap world you can’t have guys like that on your team and he’s a 1.5 mil player in today’s market and he’s making 3.4 mil

Not for a player who’s production has fallen off and is injured 50% of the time, those type of players have little value in today’s cap world plus he makes about 1.5 mil more then he should and has term, hard guy to trade without paying the other team, Barrie on the other had is still a elite pp quarterback and still a serviceable dman

Max Pacioretty was traded for nothing. Flat cap, values are thrown off. Barrie has more value to Edmonton than he does to any other team.</div></div>
You can’t use Max as a example two very different situations, Vegas needed to shed close to 10 mil in cap yes they have to give 7 mil players away for nothing, Edmonton needs to shed 1 mil in cap they aren’t giving anyone away they can be cap compliant by running a non 23 man roster.

Signing him to play in Bakersfield as a reclamation project maybe. But to start him? Noooooooo.</div></div>
He could definitely end up there that being Jake in Barkersfield but the Oil are so weak on the right side in the show and on the farm, I don’t think Holloway makes the team out of camp I think he’s in Barkersfield until the new yr, and if he does make the team he’s not starting is Nhl career on his off wing where he has very little reps in any league

If Holland was wiling to pay to move Foegele he would have moved him already, Foegele is a good player with value but that value is less as he’s overpaid by 500k the trade is fair on both sides

Cups
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kjell_Forsman</b></div><div>After other teams saw Kane’s performance in the playoffs there are several teams in the hunt for Evander . SJ will have no issue finding a suitor. If Kane refuses to go anywhere but Edmonton the sharks will simply bury him in the minors and tell him to stay home until they find a solution. The sharks do not live to serve the oilers freebies and they won’t. Cap hit doesn’t matter to us we’re not a playoff team. Oilers are a playoff team and know they will go nowhere without Kane in the playoffs. They cannot beat Colorado. You have no goaltending and MacKinnon is 2x the player McDoodle ever will be. You need Kane more than we need the cap, kiddo. The cards are in the Sharks hands not Oilers. Deal with it.
And gasoline is for cars, not drinking!</div></div>
If you think McKinnon is twice the player McDavid is you truly know nothing about hockey, (I know right massive blow to your big egotistic head) and shouldn’t be commenting on anything hockey related.
Secondly my comment had nothing Oiler related in it, this is about the Sharks and Kane, your comment and rant about the Oilers is just another example proving you are clueless about the game and especially anything Oiler related.

True the league was in the know when they terminated his contract but that was before the league and the authorities investigated the matter, the league said he did nothing wrong after both parties had finished their investigation, neither the league nor the authorities took any actions, no suspension no charges, no fines and no boarder restrictions, the league cleared him of any wrong doings and allowed him to sign with another team.

if keith retires
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yycofred</b></div><div>If Keith is retiring there was really no need to blow draft capital to move Kassian was there?</div></div>
Yes it was, without that 3.2 mil of new cap space the oilers had zero chance of bring in a starting goalie and bringing back Kane or signing a impact UFA top 6 forward. This way we can keep JP, Yammo and McLeod and resign Kulak, ideally Barrie gets moved also and replace him with a more defensive mind D that is physical and can kill penalties and probably still have cap to sign a veteran bottom 6 forward to add more depth. The picks that were moved don’t help the team for 3-4 yrs that’s if they even turn into NHL players, both picks will be late round picks as the Oil continue winning playoff rounds and hopefully a cup in the next 3-4 yrs. Holland was been patient since he’s taken over not moving high picks and blue chip prospects but now the prospect cupboard is stock and the Oilers are in a window to win but to do that we needed to add more talent at key areas but needed cap space to do so, this is the model all current cup winners have done moving picks and prospects to win, we finally have a gm that has made us a constant playoff team and fans still ****.

I’m going to laugh so hard when the arbitrator overturns the contract termination and Shark fans go into full panic mode knowing Kane is a Shark again, both the league and the authorities investigate this matter and found Kane did nothing wrong, can’t terminate a contract for something a player didn’t do.
