I honestly don't think Orlov or Bert will come back for those$$. Would be nice though. If not Bert, what about Barbashev?

Last Hurrah for 33
Sorry, yes 33, my bad. I believe the B's were wrong in not signing Chara last year. Sure he is old and slow, but still useful. I think we all thought that we could have used him the playoffs last year - besides for the low aav he is worth the risk for what he does and what he can being to the room. The B's should not throw him out with the trash like they did with Orr who, although a Bruin-to-the-core, retired as a Blackhawk.

Thank you for not shooting the mailman. I was merely using the Calgary poster's trade as a means of making it work for the Bruins.

Debrusk value is at an all time low and lindholm is a very good player on a great contract. Even Monahan for debrusk doesn’t make sense.</div></div>
Per the Calgary poster, they were willing to trade Monahan for a 4th round pick from the Bruins. DeBrusk is definitely an upgrade over that.

Not bad except for Jones. Would really want a more experienced and reliable goal tender.

Another Attempt
I may be wrong but if Rask misses half the season he still gets what he signed for but the cap hit will be only one half of what he signed for due to LTIR.
Would love to have Coleman as well but can he fit under the cap

Zona is retaining $2,250,000 per year and surrendering a 2nd round pick as well. Still too much? What about keeping one of Zboril or Vaak and the 3rd round pick?

I think that Chara will eventually return later in the season for his last hurrah and cup. I'm ok with not signing DuClair as in hindsight, Frederic or Khulman could fill in quite well.

Offer
I agree that the Bolts would match the offer. However, the offer sheet by and in of itself, will put more apply more cap pressure on Tampa. Per Cap friendly, they presently have $2,895,834 of cap space. By matching, they will be $3,604,166 over the cap with both Cernak and Cirelli left to sign.

I had my "Jacobs" hat on when I traded both Ritchie and Moore. A $$$ savings move in such a Covid economy.

Hanifin again
Don't think Hoffman will agree with those $$$ and can't see Calgary having anything to do with a retention, much less a trade for Hanifin. It appears that upper Bruin management have a self-imposed internal cap, effectively hand-cuffing Sweeney and Neely, so that it is what it is. No more trades or signings. What you have now is what you have to make a team of.

One Option - Offer Sheet Tampa
What's to lose in making such an offer? If you get your quality LD, then fine. If you don't, then at least you made an attempt to try to improve the team. That's all a fan base wants and should expect. For far too long now, this organization has sat idly by waiting for God only knows. It's time for Sweeney to grow a pair and be proactive and not re-active. Take the initiative for God's sake. The alternative, which is fast becoming the norm for Sweeney, is not an acceptable option. However, in mind's of the Bruins' management , apparently failure is an option.

Hall Hanifin and Ryan
I don't particularly like the play of Bjork -so good riddance - if not Calgary then whomever. We have to move Debrusk to get a quality D and I threw Carlo into the mix to sweeten the deal and entice Hanifan to come home. Frederic can be sent down and replaced by Mangiapane at arounf $2M AAV.

Yet another try
the intention here was to try to acquire Hannifin without giving up DeBrusk. DeBrusk has been the main culprit by other posters attempting to acquire a D in exchange. Why not acquire a D and keep DeBrusk? I don't think Petro is the Bruins solution and I highly doubt that Sweeney & Co. would even entertain acquiring him at for the $$ it would take.

Keeping the window open
I agree with swapping Chara/Klefbom as LD1/LD3. Nurse would be a nice addition, but cap-wise it would difficult and/or one would have to be more creative in order to be cap-compliant. My first thought when preparing this was that Hall would sign for the $8M as I read somewhere a while ago that he was a big Bruin fan growing up and therefore he wore #4. Blood is not thicker than water when it comes to $$$, so maybe he foregoes his dream and signs elsewhere for more.

Simply a cap dump by the Bruins. One Ritchie was bad enough; 2 is a disaster. Me thinks they both will be in minors.
