ideas pt2
I think Montreal would be willing to take on Zucker (as a cap dump) in a Petry trade. Although I think Montreal would be more interested in Samuel Poulin vs Nathan Legare and you can drop the 4th round pick.

Hes not done thought he was though
Personally I think they will try to flip Lehkonen for a center or a offensive dman. Byron, Paquette, Armia and Perrault will all be battling for the 4th line winger roles (maybe the centre role too but im not sure)

If ever there were a time to offersheet
Teams are aloud to exceed the salary cap by 10% in the off-season so I think MTL would match anything less than 7M and then just wait to throw Weber on LTIR

If rumours were all true
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>I have. Rumours are that Canadiens are interested in Miller especially if Danault doesn’t return. I know Montreal would decline but that’s what it would take to pry Miller out of Vancouver. As if right now Miller is a part of the core</div></div>
They have interest in him for the wing, probably to replace Tatar or Drouin, that asking price however with all due respect is unrealistic Miller is not worth two first round picks, including a top 5 one. With Danault leaving I cannot see them trade KK unless it brings in a young (20-22) center than is further ahead in their development.

Nashville with Weber recapture penalty next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>They didn't stop Luongo's.... them stopping it now wouldn't be fair to Vancouver who had to deal with it. The NHL modified the recapture last year to amend the crazy 24M cap hit thing and could have fixed it then and there but didn't. I think they did precisely what they did because last year Weber had rumors of season ending injury and who knows what after. They covered their tracks for Nashville last year. Anything else after that NSH will most likely have to deal with on its own. Its not crippling, Just sucks for them. The 24M thing literally would destroy them.</div></div>
The recapture is only if he retires, which I don't think he would because he knows it will affect both NSH and MTL cap situation. Unlike the Luongo saga, Weber has a multitude of injuries that can keep him on LTIR.

Honestly I can't see the NHL enforcing the recapture penalty, I'm sure he'll just be put on LTIR for the remainder of his contract.

I don't think they will go after Bertuzzi. If they put a package like that together it will be to go get a top tier PMD around 20-25

Instead of Poehling would you take Drouin assuming 1) if he can return (maybe reduced salary) or 2) if he stays on LTIR for cap savings?

Tom Wilson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Devil1122</b></div><div>Butcher was great early in his career but has slowly dipped in production. Ty Smith took his role as the Devils 1LD. This year he was scratched for half of the season, not because he was bad, but the Devils had way too many offensive defensemen. The Devils needed more defensive defensemen. Once we traded Kulikov at the deadline, Butcher came back into the lineup and looked solid. He looked fantastic once Smith got injured and he became the 1LD quarterbacking the power play. But with Ty Smith as our 1LD and having a bunch of LD prospects, Butcher isn't needed and will likely be moved. In my opinion, Butcher can be a top 4 dman on a team that needs an offensive defensemen</div></div>
Is he effective to QB a the first powerplay or a powerplay in general?

Whats the deal with Butcher? Like the first 2 years in the league he seems really good and have good production numbers but recently it seems like he has fallen off. I honestly don't want NJD games so idk what happened but if you can let me know that would be appreciated :)

Personally I really like Goodrow, I'm a bit scared of the cost but if hes willing to take like 3-4 yrs at 3-3.5 I think its pretty fair and decent. He can replace armia on the penalty kill (assuming armia leaves)

MTL declines the offer, KK is younger and cost controllable plus he fits in with their young core. I personally don't think there is a fit between MTL and WSH for a Kuzy trade

Vrana is better than Mantha and younger. Panik was arguably a cap dump for salary reasons but he is still a useful bottom 6 player. It was not like a Lucic type cap dump where he is negative value

So here's my two cents: DET doesn't have to trade him at all, if TOR wants him they will have to overpay similar to how WSH overpaid for Mantha

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jphaxx</b></div><div>I didn't think about the LTIR aspect of Drouin's situation... Are they hoping Chiarot gets nabbed?</div></div>
I don't know if they are hoping he gets taken but if hes taken instead of Allen they get greater cap savings so I don't think they will be overly hurt.
Honestly Chiarot is a decently mobile puck mover who is defensively sound he is just playing too high up in the line up

MTL passes. There's no need to move Byron's contract, they need Poehling and they probably prefer to leave Drouin on LTIR honestly for the cap relief

Avs 21-22
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Keegan</b></div><div>Yeah, I made sure there was enough cap space in case he doesn't go on LTIR, I just think it's more likely he spends the rest of his career on LTIR rather than be bought out, but I could easily be wrong. And I put Cale at 10 because I think that's the most he gets, but I could easily see him taking a discount. Landeskog I put at 6.5 but I agree, will probably end up being around 7 to 7.5. Saad I think is only gonna stay if he takes around 4, would be fine at 4.5, but more and the avs probably don't keep him. Jost at 2C I like, because I feel there are a lot of other options, and he played really well as the 1C when MacKinnon was out near the end of the season between Landeskog and Rantanen, so I would like to see them try that, and if it doesn't work and Newhook isn't ready Landeskog should easily be able to move over to center imo, he basically plays center in the d-zone, and takes faceoffs. I think it is very Seattle will take Graves because his value, I bet they move him, so I bet his position isn't really a cocern to them, so I doubt they take the older and more expensive Donskoi, but I could be wrong.</div></div>
Do you think there is a chance Landeskog leaves? Or is it almost a guarantee he is going back? Also with Byram coming up do you think the Avs would consider trading Girard?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DogDayCaps2</b></div><div>really? KK average 25p/82gp the last 2 years and they seem to want to win now...Evans can take over at 3c so they would need a better 1-2 punch thanKK and Suz</div></div>
Honestly KK Suzuki down the middle is fine, KK has just had awful wingers for most of the season. Like when he had success at the beginning of the year he was playing with Toffoli and Armia. But when you give him Byron/Lehkonen they try to make him like a shut down guy. With 2 top 6 wingers and legit PP time he can easily get 50 pts next year

I can't see MTL trading KK but they might have interest in Patrick tbh since he kinda fits the age group of the younger core but I have no idea if PHI wants to move on from him and what his value is.
