Drouin Trade for CAP space
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SK101</b></div><div>Did you see what vegas got for patches or Tampa for McDonough? Drouin is on a worse contract than those guys. It’s a buyers market for cap dumps. JVR was gonna cost a phillys first to dump. Drouin is averaging 20 points a season over the last 3 years on a 5.5 million dollar deal. His market value is 2 million right now. If he has a huge rebound year you might be able to dump him at the deadline for nothing or something small with retention</div></div>
Drouin is closer to a 50 point player than 20. The problem is that he has missed a lot of games. It's true that teams aren't going to give up much for him, if anything due to that factor.
It's also true that Montreal would not need to attach a pick to move him. At worst they ride out his contract.
If Montreal pays to offload anyone, it will be Hoffman.

Drouin Trade for CAP space
Why would Seattle, of all teams, want to invest a second-round draft pick in one year of Jonathan Drouin? So that they can win 30 games instead of 27?
The Kraken might do that deal without retention (which suits your needs better) if you gave them a second-round draft pick instead of taking one away.

Best advice is to call the whole thing off. I'm sick of seeing the same old suggestions.</div></div>
That's the thing every 'fair' trade offer I see is just taking the Winnipeg side. "Oh they paid Laine and Roslovic for him" "PLD is worth more than Suzuki so they should get him"
Whatever they paid is a sunk cost. They need to get over it.
Why would Montreal trade Suzuki? Lets forget that one or the other is more valuable. Suzuki fits in the Montreal lineup. Montreal would be taking all the risk on a guy that has quit on two teams! So why wouldn't he do the same in Montreal.
Montreal would be taking a ton of risk with PLD until the Winnipeg side understand this then there is no trade.
And this doesnt even mention that PLD wants to leave as a UFA in 2024 for FREE!
PLD really screwed the Jets leverage here. There is no 'fair' trade.

Yeah, there certainly are a lot of options with the endless wingers MTL has haha... that's certainly an option. Not sure if Dadonov's clause would still get in the way of that, though

MTL-WPG-COL 3 way trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsRafiki</b></div><div>The reason they deal Girard is that the Avs won without Girard in the lineup. They have proven to themselves that they don't need him. I'm not saying they want to trade him, but if the desire is to open up some cap room, moving Girard and getting back a prospect or two would seem a smart approach.</div></div>
Byram's health, while appearing to be improving, is still a question mark IMO. Keeping Girard, while a luxury, gives them an insurance policy. Not saying I would keep him, but there is rationale there. As for dealing him, it's definitely possible, but it's going to be expensive. He's signed to a team-friendly deal for the next five years, so Dvorak and a 2nd isn't going to cut it.

Habs need to clear about 8M in cap space to sign Dubois. Gotta add an overpaid winger in the trade. Armia or Hoffman.

I would think that there's way too much noise from reputable sources to think Montreal isn't his end goal. Montreal would pay to acquire him now (nothing close to what the OP is proposing of course), but they're probably fine just continuing their rebuild and making sure they have cap space for him.
In the interim, Winnipeg needs to figure out if they want to rebuild or not and figure out how to get Dubois' contract low enough to get a good return as a rental.
Also, Eichel is significantly better than Dubois, what are you talking about?

Dubois was drafted by Columbus, he whined and got traded to Winnipeg.
Dubois is now playing in Winnipeg and he whines again. And he's only 24.
Will Dubois be traded to Montreal and starts whining because the pressure is too much for him?
I wouldn't bet the farm on Dubois. If the deal is good for both teams, fine. Otherwise we move on.

If the price is too high I would prefer to pass and wait until 2024. We don't need to win in the next 2 years and Montreal fans embrace this rebuild. If he signs with Montreal, great. Otherwise we move on.

Huberdeau - Part 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsRafiki</b></div><div>Oh I had figured it out. I was suggesting you should explain that at the top, rather than saying "just trying something". Anyway, aside from how much to pay Dach, it seems we only disagree on whether Edmundson can play RHD. Perhaps he did in Moose Jaw, but since turning pro, he hasn't played any serious minutes there. In St. Louis, the RHDs were Shattenkirk, Pietrangelo, Parayko and Bortuzzo. Even after Shattenkirk was traded to Washington, Edmundson played the LD behind Bouwmeester and, later, Dunn.</div></div>
I know, never seen him play on his offside, I just know in press conference both Bergevin and Eddy said he his fine playing his offside. Did you look my part 2 ? Getting Huberdeau and Dubois is easy and being cap compliant WITH Price healthy lol

Even with protection it just rolls over to 2024 where it will be unprotected and Montreal will still be bad. That alone is worth more than PLD whom has his agent telling teams hes going to Montreal in 2024, regardless. If Chevy doesnt check his ego and take the L now instead of letting PLD walk. The Gaudreau case should be a warning. Calgary is in shambles, you dont let guys walk for nothing! The Isles/Tavares case is rare.

I know Stastny is gone along with Dubois, but the Jets have about $14M available to fill six roster spots. If you use $10M of that for Dvorak and one of Anderson or Gallagher, that makes things pretty tough filling out the bottom of the roster.</div></div>
I know Dillon has been in the rumour mill which is 3.9m, I think they will probably need to get a replacement on the defence but perhaps it would be someone around 1m. A lot of teams are in need to move cap around so will see what trades happen, might take some time.
