Quite honestly, if you don't know, I'm not sure you want to lol
But if you feel the need, go listen to Ram Ranch by Grant MacDonald. Highly...HIGHLY NSFW.

Fair enough, I honestly think his contract is decent at this point with the lack of cap movement, I feel pretty strongly that someone will take him in a deal like that, just not sure who. The only reason the Hawks really need to move on is because they have the flexibility to go out and get someone even better.

Get Crazy StanBo
I love Panarin, but I'm not sure that contract works for the Hawks long term, and more so just next year, because the bottom 6 is not going to win a Cup. You left money on the table, I guess they could use that on one year guys, but even still.

Well it's not like he'd be going to Arizona, I don't think Montreal is <em>too</em> far fetched of a destination.

Panarin and Teravainen will need contracts the following season, and unless Kruger is accepting another on year deal, I don't think he'd fit financially.

Playing around with cap Pt.2
I didn't expect anyone to comment on this because no one did on the first part, and it's all just for fun really because Friedman mentioned Saad and the Hawks.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div><i>I think F50 touched a bit on this already, but keep in mind both Kruger and Shaw are RFAs. that's probably a 2nd and 1st / 3rd. Especially seeing the deals the previous XHawks received. Versteeg got $4.4, Bolland got $5.5, Frolik's @ $4.3. Shaw's better now than any of them @ their departure. True, they want prospect over picks and I don't know much about Audette. But think they're equal to a 1st and 3rd? A bit of a stretch. I don't think they'll end up on the same team next year including the Hawks.</i></div></div>
As far as Pateryn is concerned, I think he'd be good as a younger guy for this team on the third pair, and I just like Audette's game packaged with a 2nd, assuming the cap isn't there for Shaw and Kruger. Now, the ARZ trade, if they actually want people that can take the ice, a couple which can actually play, while still hitting the cap floor, this deal could work. The Hawks wouldn't mind paying Pronger as long as there's no real cap hit. The same kind of deal is imaginable with NJ (Clowe) or Florida (Savard). None of this matters if there's no Saad deal however. I would personally make this move, but I doubt either other side would. It turns into Teuvo and a 1st for Anisimov and Panik. The 1st might be a little steep, but I think this roster would win the Cup.

The Hawks can do stuff too
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div><i>Hawk and WAL knows the Hawks. Ready to deal Dano for Drouin? Think the whiney Drouin's only place to be traded, is to a team like Chicago.</i></div></div>
I'd take a chance on him. I like Dano a lot, but I think Drouin could be great on a line with Toews and Hossa. Personal success could very well calm him down.

Daley
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div><i>I'd do it...was actually going to post a very similar trade for Campbell not too long ago, but he still plays on the top pair for (possible playoff bound) Florida. They really don't have any incentive to get rid of him. Would probably take more "extras" than Baun and low draft picks.</i></div></div>
Fair enough. My thinking was, they know Campbell is gone after this year, but they get everything else for at least next year as well. In the meantime Campbell sures up the Hawks defense.

I always do these Kane trades based on all of that being over already. And the news today appears to indicate that it may well be over very soon. This trade might be a bit far fetched though, I do agree.

Go ahead, it'll be fun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WALaxer19</b></div><div><i>Honestly I actually kind of like this. However...they also need to re-sign Seabrook, Byfuglien, TVR, Shaw, and Scheifele...not enough space to do that...cap would need to go to probably at least $75-$76 million.</i></div></div>
Well TVR did sign an extension already actually, which carries a lower cap hit if you can believe that. I somewhat imagine that with the extra cap space this season, the Hawks would make a deadline deal with Florida, involving Rundblad+ going to Florida for Brian Campbell with half of his salary retained. He'll be a UFA after this season, so the Hawks could then trade Daley, who only has one year left on his deal at that point, re-sign Campbell to a cap friendly deal, and then call up a Dman who carries a low cap hit. You might ultimately save a couple million dollars out of all of that.

Just for fun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WALaxer19</b></div><div><i>I assume you read Jaeckel's blog? Haha. I think the Carolina trade is most realistic out of the 3. I think the Hawks could get more for Kane, especially from Buffalo. Only notable piece there is Evander, who is no where near Patrick. I think the Winnipeg one is fairly reasonable, however I don't see the Hawks having a chance of winning with Pavelec. So much intrigue around the whole situation, but as a Hawks fan it is scary as heck.</i></div></div>Yes haha. I love reading the rumors on his blog and seeing if any of it works on here, just for the hell of it. People usually just get pissed off at me though. Oh well.

Shave a million off of Ehrhoff and give it to Kruger, and you might have yourself a team. I don't think Kruger will be under two million unfortunately.

Gotta Go Crow
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>graderman</b></div><div><i>I see you are going with the Anaheim model -- very Cap friendly netminders. In essence, tho, it appears you value Oduya more so than Crawford. IMO, Crawford's term is what is most frowned upon, especially when he was re-signed. With today's acquisition of Daley, JO just may be moving on with monies being allocated for Seabrook going into his next contract.</i></div></div>
Haha! Yes that is the Anaheim route. Just trying to look at every option at this point, one of which might be trading Crawford. I did another one right before this with just moving Bickell and not signing Oduya. What worries me is that Oduya is better than Daley as far as I'm concerned.
