Laine I think this could be a good fit
Hawks decline.
While I hope nothing but the best for Laine as he works he way through whatever off ice issues he is dealing with, it doesn’t make sense for any team never mind one going through a rebuild to trade prospects and draft capital for him. I would need assurances that he has a handle on his life before even considering bringing him into the organization.

That’s ironically an overpay to Chicago. But I’d say no. Rather draft at 72 than drop down to 99

Oilers 2024-2025 Roster 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Oilers98</b></div><div>Yeah the Campbell dump was more blind hopium than anything else, don't take that part too seriously
Maybe I'll create a third roster and actually try to make that one within the realm of possibility concerning Campbell's contract</div></div>
Buyout Campbell is the only move. Gonna take a 1st round pick ++ to move that dumpster fire. Hawks will easily reach cap floor. You wanna dump cap, Oilers gotta pay for it.

It would take more than your 2025 1st round pick to dump Campbell.

And this was 1.5 years of a $4.5M dump.

I would prefer the Hawks sign Hakanpaa and let’s face it, they have the cap space to outbid the Leafs.

Crazy like a fox v3
The difference between the San Jose third (pick 66) and the Florida second (pick 64 or 65) is the Anaheim sixth (pick 164), not the Pittsburgh third AND the Toronto 2025 third (which is an essential element of your Offer Sheet).
Having to re-acquire all three of those picks in order to support that Offer Sheet might be an insurmountable task.

Chicago declines. Wahlstrom doesn't add anything to that package and it's going to take more than a late 2nd to move Lee.

Marner Deals what say you
LOL, the Hawks will not be trading the 2nd overall pick as part of a deal to acquire MM.
If Marner ends up a Hawk it will be due to him signing as a FA in July, 2025.

If you think Marner is getting a top 5 pick in this draft + solid roster players you are going to be depressed.

Z for 2 overall
I can’t imagine this sort of trade happening. If Davidson is locked on Levyshunov, it’s hard to imagine him trading out of #2 without a massive overpay, and I don’t know that Zegras would be enough. But accepting this trade then would be a strong signal that the Hawks preferred Demidov, in which case, why would the Ducks make the deal? Certainly the Hawks would wait until after they’ve met Demidov to consider the deal. As someone who doesn’t feel strongly about Demidov vs Levyshunov, I’d accept.

Z for 2 overall
As a Hawks fan, I'm not sure it'll cost that much. It's interesting because I do believe it'll cost more than the "Charts" say which is anywhere between the 30th and 32nd...which they do own a pick there, but I doubt ANA is giving up on Z.

Max Bultman Trade Back scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bedsy_Burner</b></div><div>DET fans can say that Chiarot, Fabbri, Holl, Husso, and Maata have positive value all they want, but it just isn't true and they will have to pay to move their contracts... See how that logic works when it's thrown back at you? The CHI contingent on CapFriendly are fairly educated on what CHI is trying to do and how they operate. So, when we say that CHI isn't doing a trade, there is probably some level of truth to it.
According to PuckPedia's cap relief calculator, Holl's $3.4M x 2 year contract should take the equivalent of a 27th overall pick to dump. PuckPedia's pick value calculator says that the difference in value between the 18th and 15th overall picks is the equivalent of a late 2nd round pick. That is a HUGE gap in value that CHI is leaving on the table just to trade up 3 spots. So, DET would have to send more. If you were to add Andrew Gibson, I would be pretty happy with that, personally. But I might be higher on him than most.</div></div>
I disagree depending on who's still available at #15. Davidson may have someone at the top of his list still available and gifts like Moore falling to #19 don't tend to happen often. I think there's a good chance he pulls the trigger on that one.

Max Bultman Trade Back scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Oh my bad.
Hawks fans on CFACGM have been very clear they have no interest in Holl.</div></div>
Depending on the price. To move up to #15 imo it's a no-brainer that Chicago accepts. Zaitsev, Tinordi, and Megna are all UFAS so there's a spot for him on the roster as a 7th defenseman. I think there were proposals in the past with Chicago moving assets for him or offering late round picks to dump him. In those scenarios I think Chicago would pass but the available talent at #15 is potentially to good not to make this trade.

Sure. I've seen good things from him too. He actually seems like a good dude. But CHI isn't a team that is taking that chance.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canuckfan98</b></div><div>why not they have cap space and Kane should have a bounce back year considering the injuries he had, he also is much more likely to be a quality top 6 forward who adds snarl to a Blackhawks lineup that is lacking in that department.
also if needed you could flip him at the deadline as a team imo would be willing to take him on once the TDL rolls around.</div></div>
I doubt that. Regardless, CHI isn't taking on someone with character issues and a history checkered with controversy. It would be a PR nightmare for a team that already has enough controversy. It just isn't going to happen.

CHI isn't taking Kane off EDM's hands for nothing, and I kinda doubt they'd be willing to take him even if they were paying for it.

Canucks 2425
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snowhawk18</b></div><div>You Canucks fans need to get a grip on reality, Unproductive Mikheyev with 2 x $4.75m remaining on his contract has negative value, it will take at least a 2nd round pick to move him if not more.
Suter is becoming journeyman player, the type that will always be available at the dollar store as a bottom of the roster filler. You don’t pay for guys like that, you go grab one off the scrap heap just before training camp opens.
If you want to package those two clowns together and send them to Chicago, make sure they are carrying a 1st and 2nd round pick WITH them.</div></div>
To be fair, I think most VAN fans have accepted that they will have to pay to move him. It's just a few stragglers that are holding out hope. They're nowhere near as bad as TOR or MTL fans, where everyone should pay for their cap dumps because TOR good and CHI bad, or MTL's guys are still awesome, which means they are either lying to themselves or just trying to gaslight fans of other teams.
