Beauvillier looks fine but has done nothing yet in the NHL to the degree Meier has. Yeah he's having a rough start but 15 games is nothing, same way Beauvillier 13 is nothing.</div></div>
My point is NY don't need to change what they have

I see what you did with the 4th line, making it very defensive, takeaways and such. With that said I'd probably still play Bergeron with with Marchand because of Line Chemistry. Also maybe adding in Parayko to play with Pietrangelo or something, although it would be hard to justify taking anyone out of that D core (Whispers Very quietly***: Possibly Doughty although he's been good so far this year or Letang.)

That's exactly what I was thinking. Marner most likely also wouldn't be there, there has probably been better players as of late. Also Eichel may have slumped a little since the beginning.

Didn't say nobody, I said I don't think those teams, especially Vlasic and Burns. Burns due to contract Length, and Vlasic because of his Salary, serviceable, but not worth 7 mill. Regardless Washington doesn't have the cap space, and Montreal doesn't want Vlasics contract. Johnson and Couture would also take Tamp right up too the cap. Couture also has a 8 mill contract that takes him up until he's 37, which is not ideal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ClockReads2113</b></div><div>NYI take that deal and ruuuuuun. Why would you ever trade Timo for that crap?</div></div>
Greiss and Beauvillier are not crap. Also Meier had one 60+ point season, you can't be all that sure he'll do it again. Beauvillier atm is playing better than Meier so I can't see NY wanting to change anything thing up, nor give up a Goaltender that has been playing as solid as Griess.

Leafs don't want Burns, and there isn't much point in acquiring Lebanc or giving up Dermott. Burns is too old and Lebanc is a slight upgrade to Kapanen, but that's only from looking at stats, idk how he plays other than that.

Bracco is a good prospect, I wouldn't call him worth nothing. But still doesn't give Edmonton a reason to trade Larsson, unless they comeback down to Earth by March.

I mean your bolts did worse than the leafs in the playoffs lol, which contradicts your statement about our depth "issue". Just need a little more grit no big trades like everyone is proposing.

Agreed people freak out too quickly. The only real change I think that should happen (not just cause Tavares is injured) is to try and get someone to protect the top players which wouldn't require any big trade or roster mashup.

JT on IR
I think that's a little overkill. Besides Kappy had a good game last night, probably shouldn't move him yet if at all. Plus when Koivu leaves idk who we bring up next season (although I love Koivu) and he'd probably want to retire in Minnesota so they probably won't move him. Also Nylander can play center so the center depth should be alright for now, but I understand wanting to keep him with Matthews since they seem to have great Chem so far this season.

If they do go the rout of moving Kerfoot too the second line rather than Nylander at center, It's tough on who to move to 3rd Line center. My immediate reaction is to move Spezza up but I like the way Shore plays so idk.

Agreed. My only issue is breaking up that 3rd line. But there doesn't seem like much that can be done. The only other option would be to stack the first line and use the 3rd as the second which is probably not a good idea.

Can Nylander play LW? I know he can play RW and C. In that case you could put Johnsson up with Tavares and Marner, than make the Matthews line: Nylander-Matthews-Kapanen. Idk if its gonna do anything though considering both Johnsson and Kapanen are both yet to record any points.
