roster outlook
I would be surprised if Brown beats out someone like Merkulov or Lysell for a roster spot, but there will probably be young guys cycling in and out.
I am very surprised that Grz hasn't been moved after how they benched him in the playoffs.

Please use comps on your goalie trades
To offersheet Swayman at a value Boston wouldn't match, the comp would be a 1st and 3rd so it stands to reason that this is the starting price in a trade. And that's if they even move him over Ullmark

They can use 2 buyouts that won’t be debilitating they have multiple other players they can trade. This isn’t a Patrick Marleau going from Toronto to CAR. If ya want the player pay a fair price and you’ll get him.</div></div>
I see it all the time. Every player on the Bruins in a "cap dump." I've seen Taylor Hall for a 5th rd pick on here. Incredibly shortsighted thought processes, even for the internet.

Fair enough. Saw it somewhere else and thought it was interesting. Canes can use that cap space elsewhere if not.

I get it. We need the roster spot more than we need Bems, so he'd be a lottery ticket throw-in for BOS.

Really efficient at breaking the puck out of his own end and starting transitions. He hasn't really had a ton of PP time and the points reflect it, although he has looked more than comfortable when he has played on the top unit.
Im not sure CLB will move 34 for him, but i think he could be moved for a second round pick to a closer to contending team further back in the 2nd.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Konkarsson</b></div><div>too high pick imo</div></div>
Bemstrom is a non-factor for CBJ. Great AHL guy who hasn't elevated himself above a depth piece. Was put on waivers 2-3 times this season and cleared. Of course, the ol' "change of scenery" could get something out of him, but at this point he is what he is for CBJ.
And yeah, I think it's reasonable to say 34 is too high. I'd like to target Griz, though.

I think people just look at the numbers and dont look at the context.</div></div>
Could be. I think many overlook that it was his first year in NA hockey playing on smaller rink too.

As a Sens fan, I might offer just a bit more but otherwise I’d walk away. I don’t see Debrusk upside as top 6 , more of a middle 6 guy and you can always sign a Mikheyev in free agency

I know the Pasta rumors have no real foundation but I think it's a fair offer. Pasta with Hertl is too tempting...

It would not be since he cannot complete an extension before 2022 draft. And no team is offering that large of an asset for a rental.

Better Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Heyhowareya37</b></div><div>Totally - and this offseason will be interesting for BOS, lot of moving parts. So yes, anything can happen. Id say right now with Gryz starting the year hurt, Zboril coming off surgery and most likely a defensemen on the move he would be a cheap, easy guy to keep around to fill in when needed. But once again, anything can happen and he would probably have a better more consistent opportunity in OTT.</div></div>
Yep, could fill in for Brannstrom and possibly Chabot on the left side if they end up injured.

agree why wouldnt they qualify him? boston has 8 current nhl defensemen for 6 spots. one or 2 have to go. zboril didnt resign as a group 6 ufa to sit as a the 7th man. reilly likely moved this offseason. grz might start on ltir. or he could be moved. maybe clifton sits? theres alot of moving parts with boston and the cap gymnastics theyll have to play to land a true 2nd line center.

I though so, but you also never know.
He's a 25 year old defender coming out of college and he hasn't been hugely succesful. I would say 90% of the time he would get qualified but there may be something else and he falls to FA.
For this mock he ends up falling to FA. He's not a big piece anyway.

what could this combo bring back
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Heyhowareya37</b></div><div>Sure... and i really like both players. I should have been more clear, I meant more in the long term. Also, with this past year being a step back for them - it may be a fluke and they may compete next year, but if it isn't you have to start moving pieces potentially like JG, etc. I shouldve just said that Barzal is too much of an importnat piece for NYI in the present and in the future to really consider moving. Have to get a ridiculous package back, or he would need to pull and Eichel to get moved.</div></div>
I agree with moving veteran options. Fans have been making up Barzal trades all off-season, it’s fun but not realistic

1. Mcavoy
2. Marchand
3. Bergeron
4. Swayman
5. Pasta.
