This has to be a heavy troll. Your going to say a trade for Kevin Fiala the wild get depth players? For a top 6 guy who is better then RNH........... and on top of that he signs a contract for 3.8 when all the reports say he is looking between 7-8 mil per yr. come on man

I have no problem saying no to Jack coming to MN. Remember the Sabers have to trade Jack not the other way around. They can ask for the moon but at the end of the day will accept the best offer and the buffalo fanbase will be upset because they aren't going to get what they think is of value.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>No way The wild protect talbot over Kahkonen when they can get a veteran in FA
Krill wont be getting 10 he said they reason he rejected a 8X8 is because he wants more of a 8x5 as he sees himself as a future 10 mil player it wasnt the money it was the term
And Granlund started out with the wild as a center anyway thats where he played his best hockey was a center
but you are probably more in the know about the wild then me</div></div>
If Grandlund was a true center then why was he a wing when he left the wild and has been a wing the whole time away.
Talbot on the open market after the season he just had would command over 5.5 mil per yr. We have him at a steal at 3.2 for another 2 years. Seattle would take Talbot for sure if we exposed him. He is a true #1 goalie. Kappo is still young and unproven. He looked awesome for a while but down the stretch he fell apart. Yes its a gamble but the three that will be exposed will be Rask, Kappo, and Carson. Seattle will take Carson.
The wild has already come back with a counter offer to Krill somewhere in the neighborhood of 7.5-8.5 per yr at like 3-5 years he has said no to that also. Which is why it has led me to believe 8.75-10 mil per will be what he signs for.

Huge no from Minnesota. They don't want the scrap people thrown in just for a trade. From what i have seen it would be like Jack for a 1, Dumba/Fiala, possible other 1 and mid level prospect like Beckman. The GM has no interest in trading Boldy or Rossi.

Offseason
Ok couple things.
1) the wild aren't bringing back Grandlund for that term or price. Also Granny is a wing not a center.
2) The price for Fiala and Krill will be higher. Fiala will be 7.5+ and Krill will be closer to 10.
3) The wild aren't trading anything to Seattle. GMBG basically said they are losing a player and not doing what we did before.
4) The three exposed players will be Soucy, Rask, and Kahkonen.

That is a terrible trade for the wild. Also Suter isn't playing in Canada and for the league minimum. He will take a muliti yr deal or sign a for 3-5 mil for a season.

Who is better than Nurse
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CD282</b></div><div>At 5v5 scoring, Nurse is a top defenseman.

2019-20: 26 (7th)
2020-21: 4 (15th)
This year he's taken a distinctive step forward defensively and in his decision making both with and without the puck - and it shows. Here are the 26 defensemen listed above and their GF% rel and xGF% rel so far this year:
Slavin: +37.78 / +10.88
Makar: +32.22 / +20.46
Chabot: +25.88 / +6.91
Hamilton: +20.00 / -0.10
Pulock: +18.55 / +16.32
Nurse: +17.09 / +6.66
Ekman-Larsson: +6.67 / -10.28

Burns: +3.57 / -1.33
Heiskanen: +1.21 / +3.16

Klingberg: 0.00 / -3.22
McAvoy: -0.39 / +8.95
Provorov: -1.21 / -3.19
Weber: -1.23 / +6.68
Pietrangelo: -5.45 / -14.17
Ekblad: -5.56 / +4.23
Karlsson: -6.39 / -17.84
Parayko: -11.57 / -8.96
Carlson: -13.92 / -4.78
Hughes: -17.02 / -9.85
Werenski: -17.14 / -2.70
Jones: -18.75 / -14.95
Ellis: -20.78 / +1.95
Morrissey: -22.65 / -3.49
Hedman: -23.23 / -5.40
Josi: -32.39 / +7.40
Nurse is 6th in GF% rel and 9th in xGF rel. Tiny sample size I know, but it does give some indication how well he's been playing this year.[/quote
What D in the league is measure on just 5v5 stats? Does he do PP does he do PK. His stats are terrible when your captain is off the ice. Thats like me making the argument that since Brodin is #1 defensive D in the league that makes him the best in the NHL.</div></div>

You totally left out the Wild D. Spurg and Suter are both better than nurse. You can even make the argument that Brodin is also.

Thread:
Minnesota Wild signed Cam Talbot (3 Years / $3,666,667 AAV)
What i would guess the majority of the people who voted no don't understand are the advanced metrics that prove how bad Al and Dubs were. On goals that were shots that almost all goalies should save they were the worst and the second worst goalies in the league. The wild have a top 5 d-core in the league metrics wise for goaltending. Now Talbot is a top 12 goalie with that same statistic and with the wild D in front of him he is a well above average goalie. Now if we would of had him during the season than Duby we win probably 6-8 more games and would of stood a better chance in the playoffs. Yes Duby was great for us but he has lost his edge and reports also show that when the re-start happened he was terribly out of shape and overweight. If you can't be ready to go for a playoff push then its time to move on. Also Its going to be Cam and Kappenen in the nets and Al will more than likely be in Iowa being a mentor to Hunter Jones.
