tidy business
Toronto 100% declines that offer.
If it only took a 3rd round pick to move Josh Bailey he'd already be dealt. Try more like a 1st or 2 2nd round picks.

Nazem Kadri wants at least 5 years $45 million, Zero chance of him signing for that low ball price.

Yeah sure they will, $14,000,000 to sign 7 players and Larkin eats up $9,000,000 of that. Good luck with that.

Zucker doesn't waive to one of the current worst teams in the NHL, Plus that's not nearly enough for Patrick Kane @ 50% retention.

We don't know that, Supposedly he's signed by the Islanders. And they're just trying to move out Bailey so they can sign him Dobson and Romanov.

Both, Not enough for Panarin, And $2 mil to $3 mil to light on Noah Dobson's contract.

First off those pieces don't get Breadman.
You're at least $2,000,000 to $3,000,000 short on Noah Dobson, And about $1,000,000 short on Romanov.
And a 20 man roster isn't a thing when you've 0 cap space for injuries.

Good luck getting Kadri for 1 yr at $7,000,000 per, Larry Brooks just said that he's seeking $9,000,000 per and isn't budging from it. So perhaps 1 yr $9,000,000. If he wants $9,000,000 per then he's not getting more than 1-2 years pretty much guarantee that.

20222023 NHL Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DeadWingsv2</b></div><div>with the additional signings they made, I fully expect Veleno and Edvinsson to start the season in GR unless they kick the door in during camp and for Veleno, that means cracking the top 9. Not a lot of value in playing him 10 or less minutes a night on the 4th line.</div></div>
That's quite possible seeing that Joe Veleno is waiver exempt for one more season, I'd have no qualms having him in GR. I'm not so sure about Simon Edvinsson all he has to beat out is Jordan Oesterle and if he can't do that then he has no business playing in the NHL period. Heck Jonatan Berggren as far as i'm concerned is better than Filip Zadina don't be shocked if he makes it as well.

My concerns aren’t with your projections, I believe these are a solid picture of what opening night could in fact look like. Simply put, I hate the fact that 4 mil in cap space is scratched on a nightly basis. I wish there was a realistic way to be more productive with that money instead of having it sit up in the press box. Any ideas on that? Other than that (which has nothing to do with your ACGM specifically, but you seem to have solid knowledge of what’s going on in the league), I like this look very much more than 365 days ago. Nice work!</div></div>
Thanks.

I'd be shocked if he gets anything more than 5 x $7 mil honestly and that's probably comes from the islanders or possibly the AVs.

Toews and Kane
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BCAPP</b></div><div>Do you really think Kane, at his age and his contract, and as a pending Ufa is going to get 2 firsts and a top prospect, and a good young defenseman and a prime aged player?
He'll get a first and a good but not top prospect and a prime aged player. If it's a top prospect it will drop to a second.
Toews is not going to return much.
Given their massive contracts retaining isn't something other teams are going to have to pay for, so much as just necessary to get a trade done</div></div>
First off the odds of both even waiving for Toronto is probably slim to none.
Secondly Knies wont be dealt so he's a none-starter for two rentals, Sandin hype by Leaf fans is over-blown he's okay but he's not a world beater.Hawks have no use for Kerfoot and the 2 1st will be late in the mid to high 20's. Both by themselves can return a package far better than this.

Over Pay for 1 yr of Kadri
Reportedly Nazem Kadri is already seeking between $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 per long term, So the odds of him taking a 1 x $8,000,000 deal to sign with Calgary is pretty low.

Oh this i totally agree with, Yzerman might have asked Lou about Barzal. And i'm sure it didn't get far even though there was some kind of offer that Yzerman supposedly made for him. And who know's if that's even factual as it was reported by some twitter dude.

I never said that the Islanders would have Barzal for only 2 years, I said if Detroit for some reason traded for him if Lou moved him which he wont. Then Detroit might only have him for 2 seasons.

big nyi trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Raymond and Seider would be out of the question, I think Edvinsson could be an option but I don't think Yzerman would be keen on trading him or that he would be on Lou's radar. Since they don't have the cap they wouldn't take Bertuzzi probably, otherwise I would have suggested Larkin+Bertuzzi (if he gets vaxxed)+a prospect+1st.
If Larkin was coming with an extension, maybe Barzal+Bailey for Larkin+Bertuzzi+1st/prospect</div></div>
Sorry but Larkin-Bertuzzi+1st/prospects is a major overpay for Barzal and Bailey has little to no value you'd need to add a sweetener to Bailey to move him.
The difference between Larkin and Barzal is no more than a 2nd round pick or B prospect nothing more nothing less.
Yzerman isn't dealing Larkin for Barzal, That defeats the whole purpose of trading for Barzal in the first place. The whole idea is to have Barzal and Larkin as our 1C and 2C respectively or you can flip them. Anyways Lou isn't moving Barzal and we're not giving up major assets for him either.
