Why are teams overpaying for there "own guys". I can't wait for free agency. Hopefully my teams stay out of it.

3 line team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>people keep saying that but it's not true. You just don't know that. Raphael Lavoie is 6'4 200lbs, big fast, and has good hands. He's the exact type of guy who can come in fast. You aren't talking about a player who needs to add size, strength, etc... He has it and he's a solid skater.
On top of it, losing out on a talent like that in order to move a bad contract is insane. Furthermore, JJ just doesn't cost a 1st to move. Have you seen the run on defense men lately. It's just starting too. Someone out there will take him off their hands because the market is drying up and a lot of teams are still looking for defense.
Ain't that the truth. Hell anything out of the top 3 can usually go all over the place. I'm thinking cole caufield goves top 5. Most people have him top 10 due to size, but he's clearly the best pure goal scorer in the draft.</div></div>
I don't see the Hawks, Avs or Kings taking Cole Caufield. He screams Oilers. None of these teams are taking a winger honestly.

Lots of people have the penguins taking Raphael Lavoie in the draft. Which frankly makes a lot of sense. 6'4, big fast can score. RW which the penguins have none of in their prospect pool.</div></div>
I think we're drafting him or Seider. However predicting past the top 10 is kinda hard.

I believe they weren't trading for a defenseman until Gudbranson came up on the trade block.

Interesting, Flyers stocking up on a ton of defensemen. Sharks do get cap relive though.

Habs fans on this site over valued everyone on the Habs. The thing with Lehkonen was he has bad hands and gets so close to scoring yet he rarely does, Kahun seems like a good middle 6 winger with 2nd line potential unlike Lehkonen. I'm a habs fan too however they drive me sorta nuts here.

Kahun is way better than Lehkonen and a 5th, is a nice deal.

I loved Maatta (my first hockey crush) however I think Kahun is a great (and cheap) addition to the team. Like we have a sweetner with the 5th too.

Funny. Their top pairing was pretty solid all last year and they lost their 2nd pairing RHD to a broken leg. Which you magically think is fully recovered 10-12 weeks after it broke. Anyone with half a brain could have told you Schultz needed time to recover from the break, he did what he could. The bottom pairing of Pettersson and Gudbranson played pretty good. So I'm not sure where you get this.
But hey, they played well enough to make the playoffs, where was chicago at?</div></div>
Chicago was only behind Ottawa in GA last season.
