Thread: Bowman, why?

Quoting: Hockeyplayer1

To back up what @Sharp_10 said, Ville Pokka has still yet to get an NHL game even after being traded to a dumpster fire team. He's just simply not an NHL player. Chances are he'll be a #6-7 D in the league at best.

Also @NickC1988 , 51% is literally 1% better than completely average. Nobody in the league would ever consider that "a really good percentage". Schamltz is BAD there is no question about that. And he's probably the only one that i MIGHT agree with you that he could actually be hurting the team some games. Anything below 40% is troublesome. Except that he did drastically improve over his rookie season and I think you can expect him to continue this trend.

As for this post in general, I agree with it. Why on earth did we use both 1st round picks on D. Also beyond that why did we use #8 on a RIGHT handed defenseman who literally cant play defense. I really hope I regret saying this and he becomes EK 2.0 but I doubt I will. I was very surprised they didn't trade with Vancouver to get Hughes. He's the LHD that they need and is very close to NHL ready.
Bowman and Co. are statistically very bad at drafting impact D and very good at drafting forwards. At least they should have used #27 to draft a forward. They've had great success drafting middle 6 NHL forwards with late 1st round picks.

I still can’t believe they passed on Wahlstrom.
