Canucks decline easily. If you want Pettersson then Aho (with an extension) better be coming to Vancouver. No reason for the Canucks to move him for any other player on the Canes

Emergency call ups don't carry a cap hit, and you can always call more up as the injuries build up. It's not smart, but it's doable. Not just that, but in this situation, you'd never see a GAME with 19 forwards. Why? Read the description!

I feel like it would have too right. The d core is damn good. Add Kadri to this offense and that’s a seriously deep lineup.

Super Duper Unlikely Offseason
I really don't like the Malkin deal. He's a great player when he's healthy, but he's older and he's not the player he used to be.
Would love Kuzmenko.
Paul... I think for that price, I'd walk away. I'd rather go for Domi at something like four by four given how well he's played.
I like the Lybushkin add, but I also think that's a little high.
DeAngelo is about a mil high too.
I like the Carson Soucy add, and I think that's a fair price. Might need a later round pick, but I like the idea.
I think that's a little high for Lorentz.
I think this is a really nice idea, a few things I'd rather not see, but overall solid. My big sticking point is Malkin though. He's also publicly said he would never play in a smaller market and then listed Carolina as the example (this was in like 2012 or something but it was years ago)

(TBL/CHI) - 2x 1st, Katchouk, Raddysh for Hagel, 2x 4th
For being the CapFriendly page I would have expected people to take into consideration the contract side as well. This trade is A ****ING MAZING for Tampa.
Hagel is not only young and skilled. He's on a 1.5M AAV contract for 3 playoffs runs, then still RFA without arbitration rights.
2 first round picks for that? Sign me up. Oh but wait, Tampa's 1st rounders are likely to be in the 28-32 range. And they get back 2 fourth rounders from a Chicago team in a rebuilding mode, so 2 early 4th rounders. Raddysh and K. weren't really cutting it this season for us.
This trade is a JBB masterclass and you can't convince me otherwise.

An Out of the Box Defensive Idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>What's with the Peeke love all of a sudden? Wasn't he exposed to Seattle and they passed? I do fully understand he's been playing with Werenski and Gavy...AND...this is good expereince for him. I'm not trying to say his career is over AT ALL...that would be dumb for me to say, but it's a far stretch to say he's the one driving that Dpair.
Massive Overpay for Peeke. BUT I'll also agree that Bokk isn't an NHLer.</div></div>
I won’t comment on value of peeke cuz I don’t think the track record is there to justify what our ask would be for peeke, but he was not passed over in the expansion draft. He was 23 at the time and that was young enough for exemption.

An Out of the Box Defensive Idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>I think that the more likely player they are scouting is Gavrikov. Gavrikov ticks all the boxes that the Canes would want. Someone else brought up Nyquist, and while he would be a big add, I’m not sure the Canes would be able to fit him cap wise. Peeke would be another possible candidate, but I think the most likely players they are scouting (outside of Laine) would be Nyquist and Gavrikov. If Columbus is fine with a bunch of prospects and a couple picks as Carolina would be more willing to move certain prospects than some picks, I think a deal could be reached.</div></div>
tbh I think there's a less than 0 chance we move Gavy before next tdl unless there's a ridiculous overpay. Jarmo has said multiple times he wants him to help our other young Russians acclimate, and he's our only Dman who plays good D besides peeje

Buffalo shouldn't get a 2nd for retaining 2.5 mil for half a season. For example, SJS got a 4th for retaining 2.75 mil on Foligno at the deadline last year.

He always tries stretch passes that fail or clears the puck out and gives the opposition possession and stuff like that.
