<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>This is worse the the "LeafsMustWin" trolls posts. Why on earth is TO giving up by far the best player and loads of great assets so they can get Woll a different back up? Just the worst for TO. But I am pretty sure you are a Habs fan, so you know what you are doing here eh?</div></div>

Sanheim &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; Timmins (and Giordano who gets bumped out of the lineup)
Seeler&gt; Liljegren (and cheaper)
Frost &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; Robertson (and Holmberg who gets bumped out of the lineup)
Hart &gt;&gt; Samsonov (and cheaper and pending RFA so the Leafs have control)

But, yes...

Nylander&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; Tippett

As for the picks...

2x1st for 3x2nds + $$$ retention seems about right to me!
and
5th and 7th 2024 for future 4th and 5th sounds about right to me as well!

I don't get where the valuation is so far off!

Issues I DO see...
From the Flyers side - I get it - they can just try and sign Nylander as a UFA - but there is no guarantee that they will be able to to. But to land a big fish like Nylander AND upgrade 2nds for 1sts while rebuilding is a BIG WIN!

From the Leafs side - Losing Nylander, especially after the start he has had is a big loss to the top 6, but to get a better G, a much improved D corp and extra depth up front in exchange for a player you may not be able to sign while also re-stocking the draft pick cabinet... that's a WIN!

And if signing Kane does come to fruition as a result of moving Nylander out - is there really much of a drop off in production in the top 6? yes, some, but not a TON I don't believe. And if Kane chooses NOT to sign with the Leafs - they have $1m in cap space to add someone at the deadline as/if needed. again - WIN!
