<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BillytheKid3</b></div><div>Pinto seems to be getting better every game he plays in the NHL. I don’t know where his ceiling is but I feel like they ride it out for a while even though this deal is tempting. The question is whether they feel like he can out compete Norris for 2C and take less money.
Ultimately the Sens go Stutzle-Pinto-Grieg/Ostapchuk (one moves to wing) at C for now. Norris becomes the piece to move.</div></div>
Yeah Pintos game is already more complete than Norris, you can tell watching them both that Pinto is a much smarter player. Im hoping Norris can make a full recovery but still think Pinto will beat him out for that 2C spot, he just plays a much better overall well rounded game. Would be interesting to see Norris on the wing, still think there's a spot for him on this team if he can just stay healthy.

Yeah doubt they spend to the cap but who knows maybe with a more competitive team they're able to sell out more games and can afford to spend more.

Long Game
3 mil for Formenton on only a two year deal is too much maybe a 4 year deal he could get 3 mil, something around 2.1-2.4 is more realistic. Brannstrom hasn't showed enough to earn a 2.5 mil contract yet I would go under 1.5 on a 2 year deal for him. That Norris contract could be a big mistake, honestly with the Giroux signing I think everything is set up perfectly for Norris to sign a three year bridge deal, Stutzle will be eating in to his ice time soon and he wont be the only shooting option on the only viable PP unit anymore.

No it wouldn't I expect the market for RHD to be very competitive not a lot of options available, and Marino is still young and on a nice contract for a long time.

Thomson, 2nd, Jarventie/Ostapchuk/Lodin. I would do it with any of those three guys instantly, only non-roster player I wouldn't move is Greig.

This team has potential
Hi Zach, been a while hope ur doing well. So excited for this team next season. Some of these contracts are off and Pinto is much better than you think, I think he can be our Anthony Cirelli just got unlucky that a bad injury took away a year of development from him. Also Artem Zub is a top pairing defenceman he’s a beast defensively. Anyways I hope in a couple months Buffalo and Ottawa are fighting hard for a playoff spot in the east.

Idk, he does bring some physicality and occasionally gets the puck to the net in the offensive zone but he consistently misses assignments in the defensive zone especially shorthanded and ices the puck every time it's on his stick, he couldn't make a break out pass connect to save his life. But maybe he could be somewhat serviceable in a sheltered 3rd pairing role.

I really like him too he's shown flashes of a top 4 D especially on the PP, I think the biggest thing holding him back is his confidence he's been tossed between the AHL and NHL so many times not to mention the pressure of being traded for a top 5 RW in the league at the time.

Konecny - 3 more years at 5.5
Both would be great on the wing with Stuzle or the Norris - Brady line moving Batherson with Stuzle.
I would much rather give up assets like JDB, Thompson, Lodin, Järventie, and 2023 1st to get one of them instead.</div></div>
I don't like Konecny too much but Garland would be a really good fit, not sure if Vancouver moves him since he's on a pretty nice contract but if they did they would probably ask for one of JBD/Thomson in return. I really don't want to move either one of them because when staying under the salary cap becomes a concern they will be really important, I can see both of them playing top four minutes with Sanderson and Chabot as their partners especially if Zub decides to test free agency next year and we're forced to let him go (My worst nightmare).

I think Matthew will make upwards of 10 mil so I don't think the Sens could afford that long term not to mention the absolute haul it would take to trade for him if Calgary is even willing to trade him, I think they let go of Gaudreau before they think of trading Tkachuk.

Yeah no real reason other than not wanting to rush Bernard-Docker he looked very solid in the AHL this year, could add a little more offence to his game but defensively he's very sound. Sanderson-JBD could definitely be a great pairing for them in the future.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NDoody</b></div><div>I like the Montour move he could be a good pairing with Sanderson, although I hope eventually this year we get to see a Sanderson - Brannstrom pairing because I think they would play off each other great.
I am not a huge fan of moving for Fiala, especially with the 7th this year, when there will be a great winger available at that spot. I just don't think even at 6 years the contract is going to age well and will cause issues when you also need the cap space to sign Stuzle and Sanderson long term, with the Norris contract.
Puljujärvi I would take a gamble on that he could work out as a good top 6 winger to play with Stuzle long term, I don't know if I would go 4 years, however, that would be a very tradable contract if needed.</div></div>
Yesss I was thinking a Brannstrom-Sanderson pairing would be great too since they can both play right/left but for some reason I don't think DJ likes playing defenceman on their off side I rarely saw Brannstrom playing the right this year.
Keeping the pick is definitely a good option but this team needs to start getting some playoff reps and whoever they draft at 7 probably wont be making an impact for another two years, can't be rebuilding forever. For cap space if the team is willing to spend to the cap ceiling I don't think it should be a problem to resign Stutzle, Pinto, and Sanderson with Fialas contract this team has some very manageable contracts.

I wouldn’t say this package equates to nothing, Connor Brown had a higher ppg than DeBrusk this year and idk much about DeBrusks defensive play but Brown is a really good penalty killer and can play up and down the lineup. DeBrusk obviously has more of a scoring touch. Plus you get a 50 point defenceman for 2 million dollars.
But if it doesn’t fit your needs then that makes sense.
