Jets into next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>I think Pulock with term is a little more valuable than Ehlers who would be in his walk year and need an extension. I also think that Gill has more value than Stanley's RFA rights. Basically, I think there's some good bones here but I think the value needs to be sweetened just a tad for the Isles.
Maybe swap Oliver Wahlstrom for Gill (he's useful to the Isles org for the same reasons you have here) and swap out Stanley's RFA rights for something a little more useful. Are y'all doing anything with Simon Lundmark? I think he'd be an interesting depth piece and help backfill the RHD depth with Pulock going out. So Pulock/Wahlstrom for Ehlers/Lundmark feels like where I'd want to settle.</div></div>
Yeah that works would prefer someone that can play ahl over wahlstrom? Anyone fit that bill

I'm a Sabres fan too and I feel like he'd be a great addition guess we're not on the same page on him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stadel</b></div><div>The Casey for Byram trade makes it pretty clear the Sabres are after speed in an attempt to resurrect the rush offense and beat the trap. Additionally, they need a natural C who is a good faceoff guy. Nothing against the local boy, but hes not an elite skater and his faceoff percentage this year is like slightly higher than mine would be lol. Just not a good fit imo.</div></div>
He would be a pretty good fit imo. Buffalo needs more defensively responsible forwards and iafallo can definitely be a 0.5 ppg player just really hasn't been a fit with the jets. He's great pker and could really be a buy low type player as he does just about everything good while being an elite defensive forward and pker. Feel like he'd be a great winger on a line with Krebs imo

Canadian market or in no taxes States</div></div>
Toffoli literally said that this is his last big contract so he may take more years and less aav which is totally possible. Stop just being butt hurt over what your team didn't do and say something constructive. Players take pay cuts for a wide variety of reasons and without knowing either saying its "impossible" for either to take less than market value is immature.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Whatif</b></div><div>Yeah Keep dreaming!</div></div>
Not very constructive there. Monahan has literally only played for Canadian teams and loves the Canadian markets and what the fans bring. Toffoli has been on 4 Canadian teams and based on how the season goes is another player that loves Canadian markets and what the fans bring. Take the money from Dillon and maybe give Monahan 500k and Toffoli a 1m and use the rest on a depth dman to make the offers more competitive to what ufa might be. Not impossible and likely very possible jets can make a impression on both that leads them to wanting to stay.

He said that he'd likely take a pay cut to have more term could make it a 5-6 year 5-6m aav. Both Monahan and Toffoli love playing in Canada and likely could take a pay cut to stay on a Stanley cup competing team especially once they experience the white out

Perfetti to a bridge at 2.1M AAV ( Kakko )
Buyout Schmidt and save 2.5M
Still 2-3 Solid Dmen to Sign.
Trade Iafallo.
It gives you enough cap for the main 4 guys but the defense looks like this with no money left
Morrisey Pionk
? DeMelo
Samberg ?</div></div>
https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/4979729 was able to make an agm with your guidelines and still made it work. This assumes Monahan and Toffoli take the 4.5m could bump up the years as well.

Move up Samberg, give heinola the bottom pair minutes and sign a depth rhd option in fa that is affordable (Miller, dumba, etc)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>batman</b></div><div>No money to keep him. Monahan is #1 Priority</div></div>
Money is possible if we trade iafallo, buyout or trade schmidt and not resign Dillon. That gives all the cap for 4 main guys (demelo, perfetti Monahan and Toffoli). Perfetti can be bridged which is best for him as he's been inconsistent, Toffoli and Monahan love playing in Canadian markets so they may take a cut to play on a Canadian team that is competing for a cup.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>batman</b></div><div>Why</div></div>
Because he's wants to be a starter and likely gets the opportunity to have a more prominent role. A team like edm tor or frankly any team needing a 1a/fringe starter goalie could use him. He's been the best backup this year and deserves to be the 1a somewhere else

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shanesaw9</b></div><div>Both of these trades are awful for MTL.
2024 1st (MTL) + Ylonen for Zegras could be something to consider if you are MTL. Adding Mailloux and another 1st is a huge overpay.
Looking at the other trade, Vesalainen has no value (or little to none) and Barron alone is worth more than MTL's 2nd round pick that you are trading for. Adding in Armia (who has bounced back after being sent to the AHL), Harris, and a 2nd round pick is just terrible.</div></div>
Jets likely decline. Armia is a cap dump, no use for Harris so it's basically mtl's 2nd for barron and a later 2nd and I don't really see barron more than becoming what colin miller is (decent 5-6 offensive puck mover) so not really worth it for the jets adding over 4m in cap for marginal players when we can use that cap to resign Monahan perfetti and demelo
