If anything, signing a vet in a one year term would be a place I go.</div></div>
I struggle with Jokiharju and Fitzgerald's inconsistencies. I think Fitz grows to be a 6/7 D or NHL/AHL tweener and Jokiharju might just stick as a bottom pair guy. Although Bryson and Jokiharju were a mess last season, I don't want to have Power have to drag Henri's butt around the ice in the future.

I almost went more C level prospect and the 28th overall this year. The higher two first round picks are off limits for BUF.

I don't think either are great d-men. Looking at dollars and cents along with points production, Barrie at that reduced cap is a no brainer bonus.

TBH I originally put a 2nd in there but considering the NYI need the cap relief, and it's only a one year deal for BUF, didn't think it merited the higher pick. A 3rd or 4th is what I think.

Quinn's comparison has been Pastrnak coming out of the draft and I think his development has put him on that track, not that I like Peterka any less but Quinn's ceiling might be higher? Depending on other draft picks or inclusions, they could be interchangeable.

Don't sleep on Murphy; that motivation is more so just clearing the logjam of forwards up front. And I'm not sure LA will want $10 million tied between both their goalies. Could be wrong, but see a great stop-gap for UPL there.

If Varlamov was 24 it'd be a different story but BUF can get their veteran goalie in Free agency without losing that draft pick and cheaper, too.

They aren't re-signing MAF and Wallstedt is a couple years away still. Unless MIN works cap magic, they just don't have the space for Fiala so they aren't in a position of power, necessarily. Sure, add a prospect to it from BUF but I don't see it far off for the market of an RFA winger.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fjordy</b></div><div>Do you watch Buffalo games? Do you watch player and coach interviews? Olofsson plays injured and can't normally shoot, do you see the difference in playing injured and spent? But even with an injury, he scores points with good passes. If Olofsson is spent, then DeBrusk is even more spent. Olofsson has outplayed DeBrusk by 30+ points in the last three seasons. I don't know why we would trade Olofsson in this trade, if you want Jake trade a second or third round for him and Boston maybe say yes.</div></div>
I know he's hurt, but even when he's healthy, he's just a shooter. If you think the Sabres are gonna be locking him up long term, I'd fancy a reality check for you. They should've traded him last year, tbh, and capitalize on his value when he was healthy.

Olofsson is spent. His value when he isn't scoring is about zero, I'd expect the team to move on regardless of the return; just thought the DeBrusk idea could work since reports say BUF has expressed interest.

Seeing there's already 4 first rounders, and NSH's 2nd, it's expendable. I, personally, really like Dunn so I might overvalue him but he's also an RFA so you get his rights past the last year of that deal.
