In a perfect world
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IceDragon</b></div><div>Eichel remaining with the Sabres is more realistic than him being traded. He may find the long awaited success under head coach Don Granato. Under Granato's interim period, several Sabres stepped up and excelled. Keeping most of the team in place, making key adjustments, and Granato filling his staff with quality and effective coaches, the Sabres can be good enough not to dwell in the Atlanta Division basement.</div></div>
Yeah, I don't see the panic coming from anywhere but the media.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IceDragon</b></div><div>I doubt Bergevin will be fired during the 2018 offseason. The time has passed for the Canadiens to make that decision.
Do I expect Bergevin to be the Canadiens' General Manager after the 2018-2019 season? A bad start by the Canadiens twenty games into the 2018-2019 should be enough to separate from Bergevin and Head Coach Claude Julien.</div></div>
Doubt it... They are committing to a rebuild IMO and aren't expecting to win

The only forwards we needed was LW and now we got Sheary, Nylander, Rodrigues, Smith down the LW which is pretty good.

Sheary and Hunwick are not that good. Both teams benefited though. Buffalo got a "okay" winger and the Pens got cap space

Great value signing. Glad they kept him. Very solid hockey player. Not going to solve our gap in scoring from the left wing. 3rd or 4th line winger with potential. Defensively responsible.

Hunwick had to play the right side in pittsburgh, he couldn't do it. You may get much better play of him playing on the left side. Especially in a different type of defense.

I'd rather have Guhle and Nelson. Maybe even Pilut. Hunwick is the 7th at best imo. McCabe is better that bowlyou also.

2018-2019: Defensemen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IceDragon</b></div><div>If Letang did not screw around during the regular season and the postseason, the Penguins would not have to worry about defensemen.[/quo
Letang's was not the sole reason we got eliminated. He contributed to it, but he was hardly the main problem. The main problem was that Malkin, Kessel, Simon, Hags, Dumo, ZAR, and Brassard all got hurt or played injured so they weren't as effective. We had very little offense outside of Sid and Jake. Letang still played pretty well this year. He had a couple memorable gaffs, but still played at an incredibly high level. Our lack of depth on defense was exposed this year. Our top 4 was solid still pretty solid but our bottom pairing was not. We actually had to break up Oleksiak/Ruhwedel because they were an atrocity to defense late in the Philly series. We weren't nearly as deep this year as we were in the prior 2 seasons. Schultz was our 7th d against san jose. The group of Daley, Cole, and Hainsey from cup 2 was significantly better than Oleksiak, Ruhwedel, and Hunwick. We supposedly have signed Jack Johnson to make us a little bit deeper(although I'm not sold on him being the solution) and we should look to upgrade our 7th d from Ruhwedel too.</div></div>

Derrick Pouliot is NOT a loser. He's a capable, serviceable top pairing D-man prospect in his young NHL career. Don't believe me just ask Jim Benning (GMJB) who just resigned him to the Vancouver Canucks. O-K?
