IF 3416 91 had taken friendly deals like Avs players did

A 7 year deal on Matthews was certainly not bringing the cap below 10M. Not with the Eichel deal signed 1 year before. Marner should have gotten roughly the same amount as Rantanen

You realize Tavares turned down 13m x 7 to take 11m with the Leafs right? Marners at 9.5m should have been the move. Matthews at 11m.

Best Possible Team
If you’re using 8.5 on somebody, stamkos really isn’t that guy. I would suggest replacing girard with makar and stamkos with somebody under a 4.8m cap hit. Plenty of good options at that caphit.

Kind of wild how much Bratt means to the Devils offensive game

I've loved Perron as a player for a long time, and that's coming from a Wings fan that's never had the pleasure of having him on the team... until now! This is like a dream come true.
As for the contract itself, it's good! Two years, under 5mil, solid deal. Can't wait to see him in Detroit.

Good job Lindsay.
Honestly Geno in anything other than a black-and-gold 71 would be sacrilege. The league is a better place with Sid and Geno together forever.

People who are claiming this is bad, or he had 1 good season, havent watched Nuke in more detail in his time in Colorado.
and just wait till their favorite teams start handing out "bad contract" on wedneday.
Can pretty much guarantee that if Nuke got to market a team was going to give him 7x7. Its not a coincidence that the Avs gave him a 49.2m contract. They used the 8th year to get to the dollar amount some teams were willing to go

A high first round pick in a wildcard draft, An obvious third or fourth line cap dump, and the prospect that I have seen Vancouver fans throwing into every single Canucks AGM I’ve seen on this website for the last week? Only the first round pick is worth anything to me. And that’s not a player who is going to play for the Sabres for a couple years.

Flyers fans tell me im crazy
You're not crazy, but youre not sane....
Burns, other than being a RD, is not of any interest to PHI. They don;t lack puck rushing, producing defensemen, they lack a more stay at home, defensive dman at RD.
And Burns at 6mil until his legs fall off, is probably of no interest to PHI. 36 yrs old and 4 more seasons of 6mil sounds risky at best... Weber would be a better fit at same age and a bit more $
As for the other moves, Goodrow would fit well in Philly, but cant see Ghost on Taxi Squad (will there be one next season?) instead of playing still cost 3mil plus. If anything Ghost gets 3LD and Hagg is 7th dman. Cant see Tanner L as 4th line C, not with Foerster and Frost in system.
But its a no on Burns
